FastAndFuriousParticipantPlaying very well with the cavailers in preseason, I think he will make the team:
Last night against Houston had: 14pts, 3stls, 2 rebs, 3ast
Tonight against Dallas: 14pts, 4stls, 3rebs, 4ast
What are you guys thoughts?

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI never understood the connection of : Team does bad, player stock drop.
Manny Harris in his junior year led Michigan to the tourney and like 4 upsets against top 15 teams. He was solid prospect to me. Maybe going undrafted will benefit him down the road.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 6:47pm #411178

butidonthavemoneyI don’t remember who, what, when or how — but I used to be high on Harris until somebody on this board convinced me why he wouldn’t work on an NBA roster. Very convincing stuff.

folks were raving about how kwame brown was looking like the 2nd coming of kevin garnett and a surefire allstar after his first couple of preseason games…..

PlatypusParticipantI’ve actually played a pick up game with him, he reminds me of a poor mans Rodney Stuckey
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 7:33pm #411210

JNixonParticipantI’m not a big fan of Harris as a prospect. He has talent, but he needs the ball to be effective too much for a guy who can shoot and is only OK as a ball-handler and finisher. He clearly has talent, but to me he isn’t the kind of player you win games with. He’s too ball-dominant and erratic for all the weaknesses he has.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 7:42pm #411217

FastAndFuriousParticipantManny is an NBA player, yes he may be erratic, but he produces at the end of the day, he always had that erratic game since highschool, he didn’t look as smooth as Kalin Lucas(Orchard Lake St.Marys/Michigan State), Durrell Summers(Redford Covenant/Michigan State), Dar Tucker(Saginaw Arthur Hill/Depaul/NBA D-League) in highschool, but he produced and thats why he won Mr.Basketball in Michigan in 2007 over those 3 guys, and was the top rated senior in michigan that year.

Mr. 19134ParticipantI think Harris is gonna pick up where Lebron left off so the Cavs lucked out on him not being drafted. Could become an Oscar Robinson like player for them…

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantCould become an Oscar Robinson like player for them…
PLEASE EXPLAIN
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 8:11pm #411232

Mr. 19134ParticipantDo I really have to explain that?
Look at the guy I had him sharpied in as a lottery pick going into the draft. Now look 3 preseason games later he is putting up better numbers then most of the lottery picks that means I must of been right.
Him and Jordan Crawford are going to be fun to watch battle it out for rookie of the year. We all know it’s a two man race from here on in.
So who do you guys thinks wins rookie of the year, Manny Harris or Jordan Crawford?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 8:16pm #411234

JNixonParticipantWait. You were serious when you compared him to Oscar Robertson?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 8:44pm #411245

Mr. 19134ParticipantJNixon if you can’t see the Oscar Robinson resemblance and how fortunate Cleveland is too have an undrafted rookie land in their laps that is good enough to make them forget Lebron James ever even existed them shame on you. Maybe i’m wrong…but I doubt it…Manny Harris and Oscar are both around the same size. Can shoot dribble and pass making Manny Harris a triple double machine in the making.
I could be wrong….but I’m telling ya…first ballot baby!

nuffsaid_2001ParticipantIts obvious that this guys is from the michigan area and is supporting his locals. I have a hard time understanding why a guy like Darr Tucker is not making team over manny harris he is the best michigan prospect not in the league right now and I would take him over manny harris. Confusing to me
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 3:29am #411274

hiphopismylifeParticipantHarris’ numbers were in the Evan Turner’s range the last two years at Michigan. Not to menton he is a better athlete. His team just flopped last season. I think he could have helped himself considerably by coming back but theres no doubt he can play in the league
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 4:51am #411282
borlackParticipanti can see manny harris being this years wes matthews, proving scouts wrong and being a highly effective rotation player

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI’ma just say this: I have -85 points and Mr.19134 has 700 plus.
Come on son.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 5:03am #411288

FastAndFuriousParticipantNo Dar Tucker is not, and that’s why he’s in the D-league…..Dar Tucker literally has no right hand, and can not create his own shot to save his life, he is athletic as they come and can shoot it a little bit, but that only goes so far when you are a 6-3(Not the 6-5 he’s listed) small forward.
Manny Harris plays defense, can shoot, go either way and is athletic in his own right, plus he is a legit 6-5, and that’s why he’s doing pretty well in pre-season, while Dar didn’t even make it that far.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 5:05am #411289

OhCanada-ParticipantHarris has always been one of my favourite players to watch and unfortunatley due to the media not hyping him up I,and many other people forgot about him. Yes he is ball dominant and to have any success he will have to adapt not having the ball but the same can be said about many high draft picks this year. He has shown no reason to be a dissapointment if he gets exceptional minutes. Cleveland has no primary ballhandler and as soon as Harris he is effective and changes the game for Cleveland. If I am Byron Scott I let this kid see major minutes and an exceptional role in Clevelands rotation straight off the bat and see if he produces.

kobyzParticipanti said it before, Harris has a place in this league, it was a mistake he didn’t got drafted. he is like a bigger Delonte West!!
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 9:55am #411321

Mr. 19134ParticipantThank God Oh Canada got some sense…
I do think Harris could be this year’s Wesley Mathews and not a first ballot hall of famer.
For the record I do not think Harris will average a triple double his rookie year or for that fact ever average a triple double. He might be capable of one on this Cavs team tho. But one thats it.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 10:13am #411323

Mr. 19134ParticipantOh an Harris nowhere near the defender or athlete that Delonte West is….Plus West got a way better shot…
I was hoping Delonte was gonna stay in Cleveland because he would of hap a padded stats year probably putting up around 17 and 5.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 10:49am #411334

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI have sense….but you said it out of nowhere with NO sense of sarcasm.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 11:02am #411336

Mr. 19134ParticipantI said Manny Harris will pick up where Lebron James left off. I don’t know of anybody that could do that.
The thing is when you read things that people type instead of listening to how they say it, it’s almost impossible to tell if somebody is serious or not. And judging by some of the things people say on here you can never be too sure.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 11:02am #411337

madcabParticipantIF manny harris is a bigger delonte west……… will he have more fun with his mama when he isn’t around?????
I know somebody was thinking it.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 2:06pm #411380

boxn1ParticipantHe can get his own shot, get a shot for a team mate sometimes, a lil slim, but he is a good player. He should make the team and play, which is all you can expect from a undrafted guy with some talent. He was good in college despite the fact that his coach put him(or any of his players) in a position to be there best

Mr. 19134ParticipantIf I cared about points I wouldn’t of made a crazy post like that, I get mad when people just take points away for no reason only because I want feedbak if you disagree tell me why I dont say things thinking I;’m right all the time I like to talk to you guys to get different viewpoints….I knew I would lose points for that…
But at the same time when I went to work I had 780 points and I come home and only have 500? Like that is really corny only because I know what happen somebody like Knicksboy probably went back to old post and just gave me a negative for no reason….Shows how corny somebody can be and hot little of a life they must really have if you have time to do things like that.
Like I said points don’t concern me too much but it does show who makes sense…but for somebody to go back and take a whole bunch of points off for no reason is just insane…what a loser.

That man didn’t take your points. The point is you give yourself points, and then complain when you lose points. And then to top it all off, you call people losers when you give your own self points. How can you call someone a loser and then literally give yourself a point for every post you make? Sort of contradicts yourself.

Mr. 19134Participanti have never called anybody a loser for giving themselves points?
Of course I give myself a point everytime I make a post because I feel like at the time what i said was correct and worth a point. Not only that I got to future proof my post for ish like what just happen…
How do you explain losing 200 points in 4 hours when I wasn’t even online making post?
People are so uptight like when I said Manny Harris was the Next Big O how in the world could you take that serious. THe reason I said it was because it was late I wanted to amuse myself by seeing peoples responses.
ANd boy did people ever lose there lid. they lost it enough to go back and take points off post from like a month ago, that my friend is too far.
People on this site need more integrity then doing silly crapt like that. I got a weird personality probably from being in the Army but sometimes I’m serious but in real life I’m a real sarcastic person. I like to joke around alot especially when Im bored. and last night I was bored.
And on another note who disagree about Delonte West being better then Manny Harris?
Like I was kidding about manny harris and to say he is better then Delonte is ridiculous.
Nobody said it they just took points off like they think Harris is better.

You read what I typed wrong. I said you call people losers, AND THEN turn around and give yourself points. Giving yourself points is something that a loser would do. Especially when you are like the only person that ever even gives yourself a point. So who gives you the right to call anyone a loser, when you’re basically are a loser everytime you post?

SMH. Everybody thinks what they say is right. There is no need to give your own self a point because YOU think that YOU’RE right. If you say something smart, other people will take notice.
