I love this decision by Malik Newman. I fell like he made a really mature decision by deciding to transfer over staying in the draft or play overseas. A lot of players won’t do that and this is a really smart decision for him. We seen a lot of players enter the NBA way to early because they didn’t like the system they were playing in, wasn’t utilized enough, or wasn’t getting playing time. We have players like Cliff Alexander, Josh Shelby, and Daniel Orton all come to mind.

Malik Newman wasn’t getting utilized the right way that he wanted to. He want to play the point guard position and be more involve with ball handling, but they had him stand in the corner for most of the offense. A lot of people will say that he’s not a point guard, but that besides the point. He wants to become one and that’s a major reason for leaving the school and improve as a point guard. Being able to sit out a year and work on his point guard skill can rejuvenate his draft stock instead of being a second round or undrafted player. One player that comes to mind that stayed an extra year to become a better point guard was Steph Curry. You don’t have to a one and done to be successful in the NBA or go high in the NBA draft.

I still like Malik Newman game. He measured in a 6’3.5" in shoes, can really shoot the ball, and is a pretty decent athlete. If he can improve his point guard play, I don’t see why he wouldn’t be a lottery pick in the 2018 NBA draft that lacks talent at that position. They only 2 point guards in that draft class that are probably locks at this point is Trevon Duval and Trae Young. He will be in a very weak point guard class. He should transfer to a place like Miami or Iowa State At Miami, they run a lot of pick and roll offense, they are good at trasfers, and they lack point guard play. At Iowa State, they run a NBA style offense, at VCU Steve Prohm had point guard that can point points on the board. Those two would be perfect fits for him. Other schools that you should look out for is Nevada, USC, and Oklahoma.

What’s the problem w/ me starting a whole new post? The other post is about him transfering, while this post is my opinion on his transfering, You do pretty much seem like the forum cop. you didn’t have to comment and you didn’t have to click the post. There was only one person that made a complaint that I made an entire new thread about a subject, I believe it may have been you. And I can post any basketball related site as I please.

Maybe Rodney Purvis if he is lucky. Though, Josh Selby keeps sticking in my head.
