wonzi_bellsParticipantI don’t know what’s happening with this draft anymore.
I can’t believe the Wolves are on the verge of getting Jimmy Butler.
Maker and Antetokounmpo on the same team. Those fast-breaks are going to be ridiculous.
Oladipo, Ilyasova and Sabonis for Ibaka, after they were a quarter away from beating the Warriors to go to the Finals… I don’t know how Durant will feel about that and whether it sends the message of that front office being cheap since they don’t want to pay Ibaka next off-season.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantKD & Oladipo are very close friends. I’m pretty sure they consulted him before making this move

Hype MachineI dont know why anyone is surprised at the fate of Maker and Labissiere.
I might be the only one on this site that had Maker top 10 and Labissiere in the 2nd round.
And Euroballer was on the money with Papagiannis. Gotta give the man credit.

MopgrassParticipantYep, you hyped Maker. Credit. I had him at 6. Sticking by it.

kobyzParticipantI was also high on him and hyping him very much to be a first rounded when he wasn’t even in the mock draft, i don’t know why people being surprise with him being worth that spot, milutinov went 21 last year and big papa outplayed him last season while being a 3 years younger…

SubZeroParticipantAccording to Royce Young, we wanted Oladipo back in the 2013 draft and tried to move up to get him. It’ll be sad to see Ibaka go because I think of him, KD, and Russell when I think about the Thunder and liking them even when we weren’t good and growing up with them…but we fleeced Orlando. Oladipo will be a godsend for us, Ilyasova will give some good minutes, and Sabonis has a lot of potential. Not sure how we’ll replace Ibaka’s defensive versatility though
Yeah I’m surprised nothing happened with Jimmy. The city is ripping him a new one basically saying he ran DRose out, and it seemed like they were considering hitting the reset button. We’ll see how far Jimmy can take them on his own now

kobyzParticipantI don’t get it for Orlando at all, does Ibaka has motivation to go play now for a lottery team? They could lose him for nothing next year, they are giving too much in this trade…

BennyLogParticipantIm just hoping the magic made this trade more because of their faith in payton and hezonja. Ibaka definitely fills a need as a shot blocker and spreading the floor but i dont think they make this trade if they dont have hezonja behind oladipo.as a magic fan i trust hennigan sees something the average fan doesnt and knows ibaka just needed a change of scenery… I personally think we could have gotten him without giving up the 11th pick sabonis but id like to think hennigan knows what he doing and this wasnt a desperation move.banking on hezonja payton and gordon all taking a big step this year and ibaka regaining his all star caliber form..could turn out being a magic win just give it time
