rileymcshea3ParticipantMake your trade of who you think will/should get traded to before the deadline

rileymcshea3ParticipantI’ll start this off
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7u569y8
Celtics get:Nash and Gortat
It seems as if the Celtics don’t want Rondo because if there gonna rebuild they want to tank it and get lotto picks but with Rondo there they might be one of those teams that stay in the middle and never get better. So here they get Nash a top pg that doesnt have a shooting problem and a expring contract , and Gortat who will fill that whole as C and keep Nash and Gortats pick and role game which will be devastating with Pierce and Allen spreading the court.
The Suns obviously get a great pg (Rondo) and Jermain O’Neals expiring contract

gopack10ParticipantIf Joe Johnson is healthy and looks to be good to go for the rest of the season then Hinrich is a guy that should be moved.
The Trail Blazers and Lakers are two teams looking to upgrade/go in a different direction at the PG position.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7fc8ftc
Something like that would work with the Hawks receiving the Lakers 2012 2nd round pick.
It isn’t a big deal but it makes sense nonetheless. Portland moves on from the Ramond Felton era and don’t take on any future salary, the Hawks clear Hinrich’s salary and get a pick (to possibly package and move up in this year’s draft) and a player that is lost behind both Barnes and Artest in LA. The Lakers get an upgrade at the point and give up very little even though they take on some salary.
I just don’t see a huge deal coming before the deadline but I could see a lot of small ones like this.

PlatypusParticipantTayshaun idea: Kwame Brown for Tayshaun and the houstons 2nd round pick
GSW: brings them defense and Wright can be a scoring punch off a bench plus Rush’s contract is expiring. Brings more playing time for Tyler
Curry – Ellis – Prince – Lee – Biedrins
Robinson – Thompson – Wright – Udoh – Tyler
Detroit: salary dump and its Kwame Brown, who wouldnt want him.
BG idea: BG and and a future 2nd round pick for Beasley and Tolliver
Minny: Dumps Beasley for a shooting guard which they need. BG needs a change of scenary and would fit good next to Rubio. He can either come off the in a 6 man role or start and bring that veteran presence. Also gets more playing time for Williams
Rubio – BG – Johnson – Love – Pekovic
Barea – Ridnour – Webster – Williams – Darko
Pistons new line up: Kwame is injured
Knight – Stuckey – Beasley – Jerebko – Monroe
Bynum – Russel – Daye – Maxiell – Wallace / Tolliver

Jazz need to get a pure point guard. Harris isn’t doing horrible right now, but if they want Hayward, Favors, Kanter and Burks to reach their potential they will need to get a pure point guard. Jazz players seem to play better when a pure point guard is on the floor. They also need to free up playing time for Burks so Miles leaving is also necessary. (Amir Johnson is not necessary to include in order for the trade to work but I added him anyways just to make the trade more fair but he can be taken out and the trade will still work)
The Raptors can do without Calderon but also wont be at a loss with Harris. Him and Bayless can fight for the starting spot. They also need a better 3. Miles has been wanting to start this whole year, so let’s let him prove that he can be consistent starting. (Don’t think he will be but we’ll see.) Miles is certainly better than Johnson, and he’s a suitable backup to either Derozan or the 2012 draft pick as well.
Both teams benefit from this trade.

PlatypusParticipant2 2nd round picks, Ben Wallace and Prince for the latest 1st round pick, O’Neal, and Pietrus
Pistons: get a first rounder and dump salary and prepare for next year
Knight – Stuckey – Later 1st rounder – 6th overall ish – Monroe
Bynum – BG – Daye – Jerebko – free agent
Celtics: get one last push with the big 3, Prince can be a 6th man role. Bass is a scoring big off the bench with Wallace taking the Perkins role
Rondo – Allen – Pierce – KG – Wallace
Dooling – Bradley – Prince – Bass – Steisma / Wilcox

fito91ParticipantI’m a Bucks fan and I’m on the rebuilding bandwagon.
There are a number of players on the current Bucks roster that I wouldn’t mind being traded. Most of them are good role players that could help a contending team. If we could get some draft picks or some young talent for them I would be all in.
Ersan Ilyasova- He’s a great player but has already said he’s taking the biggest payday. I’m sick of the Bucks letting players walk at the end of their contract and getting nothing for them. His trade value has to be pretty high right now with the way he was been playing lately (29 pt and 25 reb game haha). Ersan would be a great addition to any contending team or a team trying to grab a playoff spot. The Lakers and Celtics are two teams that come to mind.
Carlos Delfino- He’s a good role player and has an expiring contract. He would be able to contribute to a contending team and then they would have the option to resign him at the end of the year.
Beno Udrih- Recently said that he would welcome a trade. He’s a solid back up that could help a contending team with lack of depth at point guard. However, he does have a player option after this season.
Andrew Bogut- I think it’s time that the Bucks move on. Bogut has been great when he’s healthy, but that hasn’t been too often in his time in Milwaukee. Not sure how his trade value is, but given the right package I would definitely part ways with him.
Stephen Jackson- PLEASE someone take him off our hands. Sjax has been nothing but trouble in his time with Milwaukee.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantHonestly, the Al Jefferson for Monta Ellis one makes perfect sense for both teams. They’re paid similarly, Utah desperately needs to clear their logjam at PF/C, and Golden State desperately needs bigs.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI swear I’m gonna flip if Pau Gasol ends up a Wolf.

bebopParticipantwhy would the Jazz want Ellis? We already have a minor logjam at the two as well, with Bell, Hayward, Burks, and CJ all prefering to play that position. That trade hurts us as much as our current logjam does, if not more, since both Burks and Hayward are farther along in their development than Favors and Kanter and need as much in game experience as possible, which would dwindle signifigantly with Ellis. Jazz are rebuilding, and this trade does not help them in that regard.
At this point, I’d rather hold on to Al and Millsap until the draft, and see if we can trade or package one of them (both will be expiring contracts) to move up and get a good SF in the draft.

PulseGlazerParticipantI really wish there were a way for the Wolves to get Steph Curry, but might Ridnour and the Jazz pick bring back Shumpert? I love the idea of Shump and Rubio as a defensive backcourt.
