I know a lot of people see the Bobcats taking Thomas Robinson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, or even the Tar Hill local star Harrison Barnes. But i personally see M.J. and the Bobcat’s front office taking  Andre Drummond. I know he has some big question marks, horible threw throw shooter, no real post game. But overtime these things will improve. Here’s why i see him going #2. 

Reason one. He’s a true 5 man with great size (6"11 270) and is freak athelete. (Maybe the best one in the whole draft)

Reason two. He’s young just 18yrs old, will be 19 in August. Not amazing numbers as a freshman, but still pretty good. (10ppg 7.7rpg 2.7bpg) with a lot of room in his game to grow.

Reason three. He’s one the biggest risks in the draft. I think this is why a lot of people see M.J. passing him up because of past draft fails. But he could easily come with the most reward. And make M.J. and co. look really good. If i’m wrong and they do pass on him, i see them taking Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

You’re forgetting to mention, MJ is a GAMBLER. You don’t think he rolls the dice on Drummond’s potential? I sure do. Only other pick I see as a possibility is if MJ is somehow, someway in "win now mode" (which would be foolish), and drafts the most pro-ready player in Thomas Robinson.

Thats been well stated like i said. But Kwame Brown never went to college. And isnt near the athlete Drummond is. There’s still risk, but i think its worth it.

What are they going to do with Biyombo? He cant shoot. Cant dribble. He is a 6’9” center with LONG arms. That would be the worst low post scoring team in the NBA

Look at OKC. They dont score on post ups. Ibaka can hit a mid range jumper, but doesnt post up much. Yet there size, length, defense gives teams fits in the post. I see them being simliar to that.

 The difference is in OKC, Ibaka is an outstanding shooter from inside the arc and OKC has the league’s most talented trio of perimeter scorers.  In Charlotte, they already are a historically terrible offensive teams and playing two bigs who can’t shoot or really score on much other than dunks wouldn’t help.  Of course, the Bobcats are going to be bad on offense next year no matter who they draft, but I think they should go with a safer bet in MKG.  Missing with the 2nd pick would really set them back and I am not convinced that Drummond will succeed on a team with little leadership or any legacy of success.

 Drummond would be a great pick if he pans out- but I believe Jordan wants to take less risks and more sure bets now. Kemba Walker last year is a great example of that from last year too. Kwame Brown was actually a good athlete coming out of hs and compared to KG. And Drummond I wouldn’t say matured THAT much in UConn. If he did, UConn would have done better and it would not have taken up until now for Drummond to lose that 30 pounds. I’m not saying Drummond won’t work out or be a star someday, but he’s an obvious risk here- if he is going 2, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bobcats looked to trade the pick…Drummond is definitely worthy of a top 7 pick, even as high as 2 based on his talent alone, but if he doesn’t match his talents on the court and the Bobcats draft him, we could be looking at another 7 win season. Nobody wants to see that.

If Drummond would have played up to his potential at UCONN then this pick would be a no brainer but he didn’t show what was expected out of him. I would consider taking him but with the roster currently set up the way it is I think drafting Barnes would make the most sense. MKG would be a solid pick but they need scoring more than anything and Barnes looks like the best scorer in the draft.

You seriously comparing Ibaka’s situation to Biyombo’s situation in Charlotte? Ibaka has Durant, Westbrook and Harden. He doesnt have to shoot. Biyombo cant shoot and his wings suck

Does anyone think that MJ should draft Bradley Beal? I wouldn’t mine if he did. Beal is safe pick at the 2 guard spot, he can provide the shooting and scoring that the Bobcats need, and I can see him as a Ray Allen D Wade hybrid. (Wade’s frame and Ray Allen’s shooting and athleticism)

Why not? They have to start somewhere and whatever position they get isnt going to get them to the playoffs. I know Shabbazz Muhammed is in next years draft but there isnt any lock that they get him

I think its actually good that they would have no post scoring, then they will be bad next year and get another high pick and get a scorer. They arent going to be competetive this season anyway, even if they got Anthony Davis.

They got rid of one of the most underrated players in the league by the name of Gerald Wallace, I think they should replace him with Gerald Wallace 2.0 – MKG

I think the Bobcats would take MKG or Thomas Robinson.  More than likely they would take MKG.  The Bobcats need a winner and someone that would bring leadership to the team.  With Kemba Walker, MKG, and Biyombo, the Bobcats would need a shooter and a scoring big man to have a very good starting 5.  They should trade away Henderson and DJ Augustin.

Drummond is too risky for MJ to take after the Kwame Brown experiment.

Beal is just too short.  I rank him #5.

I hear Charlotte is looking long & hard at only 4 players Drummond,Barnes,MKG and Perry Jones ..So those guys will get multiple workouts..And the last 1 to get called back last, days before the draft..Will be the player that’ll be selected at number 2…

 Jordan takes Harrison Barnes. He fills there biggest need in everything, size, scoring. Kenna can actually have someone to pass too.

The Bobcats are at the beginning of a three/four year plan to get back into the playoffs. The Bobcats can’t score (averaged 86 ppg in the regular season, almost 3 full points behind NO), so someone like Beal or Barnes should be on their radar.

If Rudeboy is right, and they are looking at Perry Jones, then well, maybe their plan is for five or six years. I like PJ, I think he was coached poorly at Baylor, and can be a good pro, maybe even an all star one day. However, with the talent available at the top end of the draft, I can’t see how the selection can be justified.

Drummond might be the selection, and in terms of a long term project, he would make sense because IMO, he has the highest ceiling of everyone outside of Anthony Davis.

Sure, Biyombo/Drummond would make an inept front line on the offensive end. It wouldn’t help their PPG out either. However, they are a long term project, even if they get Barnes, their PPG probably won’t drastically increase anyway. When I say drastically increase, I mean 4-5 PPG. I would expect them to still be under 90 PPG, even if they got Barnes.

They think he has a chance to become a Kevin Durant type of Small Forward, or at worst he will a Lamar Odom types that does everything good and eventually helps you win games…MJ wants a Star and Perry Jones could be the guy…I’ve said it all along that someone will jump at Jones III in the top 5 of the draft…Right now I have him going to The Kings, but I think JORDAN will shock the world and draft Jones or Drummond 2nd overall…

I actually think, they need to get someone who can score right away. Any one they draft will be getting experience quickly because he’ll be getting a lot of minutes in his rookie season.

King, I think they should go for potential. They are still going to be bad next year, and need someone who can be the cornerstone of the franchise. Let’s say they get Barnes, can he be that guy? I don’t think so. Would he improve them next season? I say he would, but would he be better than Drummond, or MKG? Debatable.

Well if they want someone like Perry or even Drummond, they might as well trade down and get something else like a second round pick for next year. There is absolutely no need to take Perry at number two no matter how much you like him.

The Bobcats and Blazers are perfect trade partners…

The 2nd for the 6th and 11th picks is a legit deal…

The Blazers get to select Andre Drummond with the 2nd pick and the Bobcats can select Perry Jones III 6th and draft the best available Shooting Guard with the 11th pick… 

The Bobcats do like Jones III a lot, but I admit 2nd is too high to take him straight up, but moving down a few spots and getting him 6th while adding a SG with the 11th pick seems like the best possible outcome…They can get a defensive C like Melo or Ezeli with the 31th pick, so the Bobcats would have a nice core afterwards
