     Regardless of when Steve Kerr comes back, If the Warriors break records with Luke at the helm is Luke the leading candidate for COY?  Right now it seems hard to argue that he shouldnt be in the running.

    What I want to know is if he just got coach of the month and got zero wins for it. If he won COY would they really not give him any wins? That’d be one of the more obscene things I’ve seen in sports.

    imagine if they ran the table, and Kerr gets credit for going 82-0

    and still doesnt win coach of the year.

     fivethirtyeight is projecting the Warriors to win 72 games this year.

    But, they had a high range so the had nearly similar odds to win 73-75 games.

    Here is the freaky thing: out of 100,000 simulations, 2 of them have the Warriors running the table.  I think 15 or 20 more had them winning 80 or more games, which is nuts.

The league has made it so that Luke can get the awards, but all wins go towards Kerr’s record. Luke Walton has a chance at winning Coach of the Year without winning a game while Kerr could beat the 72 win record without coaching a single game.
