The8thDeadlySinParticipantA bad one??
He is slow, weak, cant create for himself, doesnt have a quick enough release to get his shot off and is stuck behind alot of players with Portland..
Think less Larry Bird and more Adam Morrison/Brian Cardinal…

PlatypusParticipanthe needs to muscle up and move to the 4 and be a stretch power forward off the bench and can give Aldridge a back up and get him playing time

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantHe first needs to be on a different team because he can’t get off the bench in Portland. After that, who knows he didn’t really get a chance at all last year. He couldn’t get into any kind of rhythm to show off his shooting skills.

Anton123ParticipantDoesn’t Luke Babbit remind you of a more athletic Brian Scalabrine? They both shoot well but are kinda slow, are the same height, almost the same weight.

ilike.panochasParticipantBabbitt actually has good skills (shooting and ball handling) as well as adequate athletecism and terrific size for a SF. I think when you play in a small conference such as WAC, it’s going to take more time to adjust than playing in bigger conference just because the competition discrepancy between WAC and NBA is far greater than say ACC and NBA.
Unfortunately for Babbitt he may never have the opportunity at Portland because he is stuck playing behind Wallace and Batum. I think he can be an Austin Croshere type player at worst and best case senario would be Detlef Shrempft.

TRC1991Participanti like your austin croshere comparison but there aint a chance he’ll have a detlef schrempf career (13.9 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3.4 apg, 38% 3PT, 3x all star, 2x 6th man)

JoeWolf1I think he’s gonna be a guy who is most likely a 7-9th man type of the bench player for a good team, but I think he could averaged double digits for a bad team. He played really well in the D-League, but he played god awful for the Blazers. He did have a double double with 11 points and 11 rebounds but he shot 4-17 from the feild.
He’s only 22 and I think he will get better, but I think he’ll be one of those guys who’s career average is like 7 or 8 ppg who maybe only cracks 10 ppg for a season once or twice.
I think he’ll develop in to more of a 3 point shooting forward who comes off the bench and play the role similar to what Chase Budinger or Reggie Williams play now.

TheLastWordParticipantI’m not writing this guy off yet. He only got 5 minutes a game in Portland which simply isn’t enough time to learn the system o develop a rhythym. He avergaged 20 points in 29 minutes over 50% FG in Dleague. Yeah its Dleague but those are lofty numbers. Now that Rudy is out of Portland Babbitt has some room to step in and give them some instant offense off the bench.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI remember the days when people thought he’d be better than Gordon Hayward.
