How good is he? ive seen him compared to kyle korver but in the one game i have seen him in this season (against UNC) he looked like a shorter dirk. I think Nevada uses him at center, can he can play the 4in the NBA?

Yea I watched him play for the 1st time this season and I didn’t really see Korver. Korver is more of a natural perimeter guy. Babbit reminds me of Raef LaFrentz more than anybody else.

How can you say someone has more skill and less athleticism than another player yet make the comparison?? That would nullify the comparison don’t you think? Especially when McRoberts’ game is predicated on his athleticism.

Raef LaFrentz or Austin Croshere are the two guys that come to mind when watching Babbit play as I said. Don’t mind this guy that’s always on my tip for some reason….Where do you keep coming from

First Off.. u Can say that… and i can see your are not the smartest apple to fall off the tree… i said he reminds of mcroberts but more skill meaning his ability to play the point forward roll efficently handle the rock consisitently.. and less athleticism because he is not explosive as mcroberts…Number 2… if u actuallty watch basketball instead of making idiotic comments i wouldnt have to be on your tip homeboy… and 3 this a basketball site i come on here everyday just because i choose not to comment on some of the obvious info… and the dumb info… dont think i just pop kid..

You can’t say he’s like McRoberts but with more skill and less athleticism! That mean’s he’s not comparable to Josh McRoberts! That’s like Kirk Hinrich is like Derrick Rose with less athleticism and more skill. That’s not a comparison. They have to be similar acroos the board. Anyway, Josh McRoberts with more skill and less athleticism is essentially a Raef LaFrentz/Austin Croshere type player

Trust me, I watch basketball and understand it much more than you do obviously. Especially if you make a comparison and say that they have more or less of something, when the point of a comparison is for the 2 players to be extremely similar. You can’t say a player is similar to another player, and then say that their most distinct strengths are different and may be another guys weakness. Makes no sense.

The only time I ever see you on this site is when you tell me I make a bad comparison. Even when your on statemnets don’t make sense. Why can’t you bother someone else? I know for a fact I don’t make the dumbest statements on this site, yet you only post to criticize me. Why? I HAVE NO IDEA.

Wow Tural2…what is with the personal attacks? My goodness man get a grip.

1. Theres a reason you have -70 something points…you say things that dont make sense.
2. Theres a reason you dont always make posts…because you are not knowledgeable about stuff

Another thing…why do you always have to rip what people are saying? Isn’t that a bit elementry…your really just being an argumentative prick and quite frankly people dont like argumentative pricks. I’m all for making good conversation and if people dont agree with what I say I’m happy to listen to their ideas, but you dont really do that…you just crap on everybody elses idea. Grow a pair and actually give an opinion.

It has always confused me how guys make comparisons that include, more athletic, or better defensively, or better 3 point shooter etc. One guy one time compared Avery Bradley to Monta Ellis with less O and More D…isnt that the complete opposite of what Monta Ellis is? That was the worst one I’ve seen but there are alot of dumb ones out there. Its confusing.

As far as Babbit goes…I havent seen alot of Nevada this year, but I did see them over the weekend on the Bracketbusters and he looked to me like he’s got a little Troy Murphy in his game. Obviously Murphy is bigger at 6’11 240 but both are solid faceup 4 men who excell at the high post area. I dont think Babbit will be a 15-20 ppg and 8-11 rpg type player murphy is in the NBA but his game is similair. I think the Austin Croser comparison is right on actually. You talk to NBA scouts and they all like his game, just his physical limitations kill his pro prospective.

I think he’ll carve out a nice 7th or 8th man role on an NBA squad.
