Allen_Iverson_3ParticipantHi everyone, I’m intrigued not to see Nogueira in this year’s mock draft since I believe that the players who are in the draft right now can’t withdraw anymore, isn’t it?
I have Nogueira going n°20 in my mock because he’s young (still 18), athletic, tall and has tremendous potential, and I think that in such a weak draft, especially concerning the Centers, and with a probable lockout next year, drafting Nogueira in the first round would make sense for a team wanting him to develop overseas one or two more years.
Thoughts?

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI would love for the Rockets to take a long good look at him with their 23rd pick. Seems to be a guy that could eventually be pretty good with time

Allen_Iverson_3ParticipantAs I stated in my mock (you can take a look at it if you want), the Rockets need Centers with Yao and Chuck Hayes departing. Since I have Nogueira at 20, I chose Vucevic for the Rockets, who has a nice size and a rather polished skill set.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantVucevic would be a pretty good pickup, especially because he’s a good rebounder. Rebounding translates very well to the NBA.

mikeyvthedonParticipantCould still withdraw:
June 13th, 2011 (5:00 p.m. ET) is the Early Entrant withdrawal deadline which effects primarily international prospects.
Being a prospect born in 1992, Lucas Nogueira does not have to officially enter the draft until 2014. Also, seeing that he played in a lower division in Spain and will more than likely need at least a couple years of seasoning before he is ready for the NBA, he very well could choose to pull out of the draft. Seeing that he is probably a late first round pick, I would not be at all surprised to see Nogueira withdraw and wait until next year, where the post is still going to be fairly thin as far as depth.

kobyzParticipanthe is exactly like Tyrus Thomas in terms of physical ability, skills, style and demeanur on the court, so he like a bigger Tyrus Thomas, i see Denver taking him with the #22 pick, they don’t have particular need to fill so they could gemble on a project big with high upside while Nene could be a mentor for him as they both Brazilians.
