xbadgerhustlerParticipantI love the guy and I think he’s the type of guy who starts the 1st and 3rd quarters for his defense… I think he will end up being one of the better defenders in the league (if he’s not already). He needs to add a consistent mid-range jumper, but once he does that, he’s a legit starter in my book.

FutureoftheGameBruce Bowen/Shane Battier
Both great defenders that exceled because they had something that Mbah a Moute doesnt. A spot up three. Untill he developes that, he wont be a crunch time player. Other than that, he will be pretty good.

xbadgerhustlerParticipantYea, Luc is more 3-4 while Batum is more 2-3 in my book…. which makes his lack of an outside jumper less of an issue, compared to Batum. I think with more experience/yrs in the league, Mbah will only get bigger/thicker (which is another of his weaknesses, especially when he slides to the 4) and his jumper willl only get better. I’d like to see him not only add the mid-range but also add the 3pt shot. I think it’ll happen one of these upcoming summers… You gotta love the guys energy and hustle

McWinningParticipantyeah he is more of a three but he played the same role as Batum did starting over a better scorer in Villenuwavu because of his defense.

the microwaveParticipantbatums a much better shooter.
batum 62-168 from 3 (37 %), and 45 % from FG range…… Luc shot 4 3’s all season long and hit 0……. Maybe there similar with there athleticism and defense but they are NOWHERE near the same player lol… I love Lucs gm but your comparing apples and oranges my dude…
lucs 6’8″ 230 Sf / PF tweener… Batum is 6’8″ 200 lbs and more of a 2/3 like someone said above..

llperezSolid player. Great defensive stopper who can gaurd multiple positions. Great hands. Rebounds well. Does’nt force any thing. But…he is a poor perimeter shooter. Has no post moves. Poor ball hadler. And unfortunately, I just don’t see him getting much better. His college stats never improved in 3 years. What he brings to the court was basically the same his rookie year in the NBA as it was when he was a freshman at UCLA. Solid, but just very little upside for him.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantHe is not an offensive player. A very impressive rookie year he shown.
