Ahkasi ClayParticipantaccording to peter Veccey (thats not right huh?)
Love has informed the wolves he will not sign a future contract in Minnesota.
He wants to go to L.A.
If true lets try to figure out what this means:
Trade to lakers now, Gasols name will be at the top of all rumors. Seeing how the lakers at this time don’t have much else to offer. (But if the Suns won’t t trade Okafor and a bad 1st for gasol why would wolves givevup Love?
Lakers make trade on draft day, Gasol is off the table at this point. But the lakers draft pick can be trade after the selection is made. Again not many other assets the lakers can add in.
Lakers wait for a year and a half and sign him as a free agent. I think this would be the smartest move. But would mean that they are going to suck next year. And kobe will be a year and a half older. So only one season with them together.
Lakers dangle kobe as part of the trade. Not sure they are willing to entertain this idea.
But there is a different possibility to get him to L.A.
Enter the Clippers.
Clippers trade Blake straight across??
Combination of Jordan and draft picks ???
I am to drunk to run numbers but what do ya’all think?
Assuming of course he has told the wolves he is going to l.a.

A Lil EnglishParticipantFirstly the title is misleading because the source looks like another feeble rumour. I swear the Lakers have come up strictly based on the fact he went to UCLA – this sounds like the most simple minded way to create ‘news’.This is also different to a quote on here from an article just yesterday where Love apparently said it’s not far fetched he stays in Minnesota because he thinks the Wolves currently look better going forward. I’d like to hear someone’s argument against that.Said article is here.I find it amusing how there always seems to be people who know what Love is going to do. I doubt Love knows himself 100% where he wants to be a year from now. If his game last night against the Pacers was anything to go by, he is fully committed to the Wolves for the foreseeable future.0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/20/2014 - 3:11am #873448

Ahkasi ClayParticipanttoo many red horses sorry if topic was misleading. and I agree Vecsey is not the most crediable source, I was more interested in what the nba draft Community thought were good senarios, if this rumor was plausible.

Moon RiverParticipantMinny and Flip better start warming up to the fact that Love is not staying with the Wolves, so they better maximize their asset by getting the best deal they can in a trade before the end of next season.

TarHeelRavenParticipantDoesn’t surprise me at all that Love wants to go back to LA. Warm year round, beautiful women, celebrity capital of the world. Of course he also went to UCLA. Has anybody ever been to Minnesota in the winter? Yikes. I think the only person who ever actually wanted to be in Minnesota was Kevin Garnett, but he was also fiercely loyal to a fault. I can’t imagine who Los Angeles could offer for Love. An aging Gasol? Jodie Meeks? Wesley Johnson. I think it would be hilarious if Kobe ended up in Minnesota. I couldn’t imagine a worse situation for the black mamba to be in at the end of his career.
