CanadianGMParticipantIf Im Phoenix I make this offer with the idea of going after Lebron. They have so many assets on reasonable contacts and first round picks that they need to convert into a big gun. Trade bait ( One of PG s Gortat or Bledsoe, Last years 5 th overall pick Alex Len, this years lottery pick TJ Warren.)
Line- Up- PG – Bledsoe or Dragic/ # 18 pick Ennis backs up SG- Gerald Green, backup Archie Goodwin. SF- Marcus Morris hopefully backs up Lebron PF – Kevin Love with Marqueef Morris. C-Miles Plumlee backed up by Alec Brown but most likely Morris twins brought in to have 5 3 point shooters on the floor.
No bad contracts means they would still have cap space. Everybody under 30-Lebron (29), Love (25), Bledsoe(24), Morris twins (24), future picks owed and cap space give them large window to play for titles. There starting 5 of Bledsoe, Green, James, Love and either Marqueef Morris or Plumlee is top tier and still have strong bench and cap room for others.

Jayhawks2011ParticipantThe Suns only shot of getting Lebron is if Melo goes there. I believe they have cap room to offer the max to the both and they could time it so they still retain Bledsoe. A core of Dragic/Bledsoe/Melo/Lebron/Plumlee plus they dont have to trade anyone so they still have crazy depth. This is an option I think Lebron should really look at, doubt it happens and if it does they might as well cancel the Eastern Conference.
On another note is there really a chance that Melo or Lebron really want to go to the Western conference??

hooverballParticipantIf they could swing a trade for Love and keep Bledsoe and Plumlee I think they could entice Lebron assuming they keep enough other assets around to give future flexibility. Gotta be honest though…when I saw this thread I thought you were gonna say a deal was done. LOL. Little disappointed, but it is good thinking.

r377ParticipantI did hear the Suns were going to put an offer to Hayward. Frye is also a UFA

PHXSUNDREAMPICK13ParticipantThe Suns ace in the hole in a trade like this is the protected Lakers pick owed to them (top 5) next yr and top 3 the following, and no protection after. Along with T.Wolves pick top 12 protected they have those to offer along with some good role players and high quality but unproven players in A. Len and A. Goodwin. Best option is to make this trade midseason when T.Wolves are out of contention or hearing Love going here or there. Those picks the Suns have are only going to gain value as trade chips.
P.S. Lebron and or Melo would be nice additions of course but i enjoy underdog, build your own basketball team. Suns first championship doesnt need completely bought no matter how long it takes to achieve. Atleast a trade for Love is exchanging assets for assets.
