After breaking his hand for a second time this year and missing almost the entire year, Kevin Love has to undergo knee surgery. This has been a throw away year for him and I’m wondering why his surgery couldn’t have been considered weeks ago while he was rehabbing from the broken hand. I don’t think this is a power play by him to get his way with the team direction but after some of the things that have come out of his mouth this year there are going to be some people wondering what is going on with him.

I am a huge Timberwolves fan and I like completely forgot Love even existed. Rubio is the star of the team now. Hopefully Love can come back healthy next year and help Rubio guide us to the playoffs.

You can be a t wolves fan and forget that you have Kevin love. My best friend is a twolves fan and he talks all the time about wishing love was there to grow with Rubio. Love was almost putting up 20 and 20 every other 3 nights last year. He’s a beast plain and simple and is the best player on that squad

Last year he was the best, but something changed this year. He was taking alot of shots and shooting a horrible percentage from the field. You can chalk that up to rust and not 100% healed from his broken hand, but his attitude completley changed. He was not hustling back on defense, he was complaining to refs almost non stop, he was not trying on defense in the rare times he actually made it back and guarded someone, and his shot selection was horrendous.

I’m not worried about his game at all. I think the poor stretch he had this year was due to the hand injury and the fact he wasn’t able to ever get comfortable or in a rhythm. The thing that concerns me about Love is his attitude. He plays hard and seems to be a pretty good teammate, but he whines and complains way too much to the media. I feel his pain when it comes to some of the moves the Wolves have made, but I just wish he would shut his mouth and go play. He’s so worried about trying to convince everyone that he’s a star (since he played in the Olympics and stuff) that he seemed to forget that to get that title he still has to go out and prove it (one great season IMO does not make you a star) by continuing that high level of play and winning.
