McDunkinMiami freshman Lonnie Walker IV might play a bit like Victor Oladipo but he does interviews like Kyrie Irving.
During last week’s NBA combine in Chicago, Walker dropped a truth bomb that would make even Kyrie blush.
“When you talk about facts and things of that nature, it’s amazing to me we’ve discovered so much about this world, yet, we don’t anything about this world,” Walker said. “The earth is not flat, in my opinion, but the earth, on my conspiracy, the earth is definitely an illusion.”
It sounds crazy, because it totally is, but Walker isn’t the only guy who believes this. A lot of Silicon Valley technocrats—including Elon Musk—believe we all live inside a complex computer simulation designed by a more intelligent higher power.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantIn a universe that goes on for infinity it is actually probable that there are humans somewhere else in another galaxy. In fact if the universe is truly infinite there is another human that watches a sport like basketball who has the same name as you making the same exact post as you. Wrap your mind around that.

GronounoursParticipantThe thing is, the universe isn’t infinite. An infinite universe wouldn’t keep expanding. And no, there are no ‘humans somewhere else’ in the universe.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantThere is absolutely humans somewhere else in the universe. I would argue that it is simple ignorance not to believe this.

ZarathustraParticipantLike Eddie Bravo says : "when you look into it…".
Prepare to get your mind blown.
Reality is stranger than fiction.

GronounoursParticipantYou think the universe is "infinite" and I’m the ignorant?
Personally, I think there are other forms of life in the universe, but it’s just a guess. Nobody knows that for sure. As for humans… you could as well claim that there are Smurfs out there.

barbabodomParticipantNot even the brightest scientists dare to say that the universe is or isn’t infinite. The question here is, if the universe is infinite, than every possibility is real, as the atoms can ordenate itselfs in an infinite number of patterns, including, yes, one where we have smurfs playing in the NBA.

BogDon_KryptParticipantIn an infinite universe, somewhere a Dogbon Dogbonovic is flat out Dogbonning

ZarathustraParticipantIn THEORY,the universe is infinite BUT a vacuum as well, that is hard to grasp,to say the least…

Arc12345ParticipantI hope these comments cause him to fall to the Hawks at 19…please.

GronounoursParticipantTo fall as in ‘pulled by the illusion of gravity’, you mean?

GronounoursParticipant"A lot of Silicon Valley technocrats—including Elon Musk—believe we all live inside a complex computer simulation designed by a more intelligent higher power."
Musk should focus on the mass-production of reasonably-priced electric cars. If Musk were a prospect, he would be selected #1 on potential and hype alone, Hasheem Tabeet-style.

whiteflashParticipantThat is truly one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Not just conceptually, but grammar, misuse of words, all of it. Incomprehensibly dumb.

Memphis MadnessParticipantAnd people wonder how a potential draft pick can fluck a basketball interview.

The GoatParticipantIf im a GM i couldnt give a flying fxck whether he believes in the Earth, fairies, heaven, hell, aliens, Atlantis or Elvis being on night shift at 7 eleven. He just needs to play ball well, positively impact his franchise, teammates and the community and do it for the cheapest possible price. What usually happens is the poor teams who get caught up in meaningless shit let him slide in the draft and he ends up at a franchise like the Spurs, Warriors or Celtics

OhCanada-ParticipantI mean he’s 19 years old. YouTube had me believing some real crazy shit when I was 19. He’s also smart enough to get himself some media attention simply by saying a one liner statement.

MopgrassParticipantWe use the Hydron Colider in Switzerland to create a small scale recreation of the beginning of the universe. We are creating a simulation of the beginning of the universe. If that I’d the case, it is not hard to think that we can also be a simulation, created by a more complex being.
However, that wouldn’t make life an illusion. It would just have been created differently than we think.
As for aliens, it might be less likely than we thought. There are many planets we’ll never get to that are the right distance from their sons for intelligent life to exist. We’ve discovered hundreds of these planets. However, we just realized a lot of them probably don’t have phosphorus and you need phosphorus for life to exist. They are now scanning those planets for phosphorus. It’ll be a while before we figure this out.
