GlenTaylorSucksParticipantSo, I was just watching his SC segment on his draft big board, and he legitimately was torn over whether…Royce White or Meyers Leonard should be his #5 draft prospect. Really!? He didn’t even have MKG or T Rob in his top 5 at all. ESPN makes me sad.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantHe said he had Gilchrist rated as a post-lotto, mid first rounder.

SpacegrassParticipantGottlieb is a little piss ant know it all , who honestly with some of his comments makes me laugh. He should just go back to stealing credit cards , he was actually better at that rather than talking about college basketball players as NBA prospects.

JrbenzCuse23"MKG is very young and everyone loves his competitive drive, but before you take him No. 2 overall, realize that he played a lot of 4 in college, has a funky jumper and probably translates into a defensive specialist who can rebound and score in transition, but not really wow anyone on offense. If he’s closer to 6-5 (instead of 6-7, his listed height at UK), which is shooting guard size, then what is he? A great kid to have on your team who will fight and scrap and become a double-digit scorer, but not an NBA All-Star, and maybe not a consistent starter."

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantWell, I guess I am not the only person who thinks White is a top five prospect, and a better one than Robinson and Kidd-Gilchrist. As for Meyers Leonard, he is on his own. The guy hasn’t even been drafted yet and he has already gotten a coach fired (though Weber get the K-State job in no time for what that is worth). I understand why people can get excited about Leonard and roll the dice in the middle of the first on someone who might be ready in a couple years, but not top five.

joecheck88ParticipantI really have no problem with someone else’s opinion. Whether any of us think he is right or not. I remember he had Jrue Holiday at 4 a few years ago. Whether he is the fourth best player from that draft is debatable but he is certainly better than where he was drafted. Honestly, I’m not a big fan of T Rob or MKG. I think T Rob is going to be like Brandon Bass and MKG will be a hustle player like Gerald Wallace. Good players but not guys that can change a franchise. Let’s stop overrating hustle and will so much. It’s important but so is skill and size.

Sewok15ParticipantI think he has decent touch on his jumper, he just has suspect form. He shot 75% from the FT line so it isn’t broken it just needs a slight adjustment. If he works on it and becomes a threat with his outside shot lookout! He is already a stellar defender and great rebounder at the SF. If you watch most of these playoff games turn on something like a looseball or offensive rebound and putback. We already know he can go get the ball but his success will ultimately be defined by how often he puts it in the hole.
He is top 5 in my book for sure.

Memphis MadnessParticipantWhat about MKG as a combination of Gerald Wallace and a poor man’s D Wade?
… I think for T Rob it is gonna come down to his height and wingspan. I think he is pretty solid though.
Meyers Leonard sounds too much like Loren Meyer for me. Sorry, I’ll pass.

wenichParticipantFrom what I saw in those tournament games I totally agree with Gottlieb and Both Teams Played Hard. Royce White is a problem. If he goes to a team that can utilize his skills properly he will be a major contributor. He has more ability to impact a game offensively than anyone in this draft.

goldie92689ParticipantLast I checked…Hustle can get you a long way in the nba. If he turns in to G Wallace or Artest, that would be well worth a top 5 Pick…

chocboywndrParticipantI know that people love mkg, but I really don’t disagree with his breakdown of his game. In know that puts me in minority but I have beem covering the kid since HS and to me he was always going to be a great role player. . I know he has the motor but his skill set doesn’t match his position. The negs can fly but to me if he goes that high he will never live up to that spot. Even though he good player, there are quite a few guys that I think will be drafted after him who will turn out to be better pro players. I have said this since HS, he works so hard because he has too. When you look at true star wings their game looks effortless because their skill level is so high. Gilchrist never gives that appearance because his skill level is below average and without that relentless attitude he couldn’t keep up offensively. To me he is as raw as GW coming out of Bama he was just on a way better team. He will struggle more offensivley than people want to believe.
