First I lobbied for Matt Barnes, who is largely slept on and played a major role in Golden State maraculous upset playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks.

Now, it’s time for Lineas Klezia. Dude can ball. What is his potential and where will he end up? He played power forward at Missouri University, but after his second year, transistioned to the small forward position.

He can play. He’s the only 7th man I know to score 40 points twice in one season (during the 2008 season) with teammates including Iverson, Melo and J.R. Smith. So he never really got the shot attempts he deserved.

With the right team, um, he’s a 17 pg 7 rb player.

He reminds me of Hedo with Sacramento years back. Couldn’t get the shots he wanted because he was the sixth or seventh man on the team. We all know what Hedo did with Orlando this past year. I think Kleiza has this type of potential.

i think he can be a better player than Hedo, he is much stronger and athletic and quicker, plus he is good on D, he is also not soft at all on the boards i think 7 rpg is reasonable , plus he can score in bunches

He is a very versatile player, can drive shoot, and is a big body, so he can post up and bang for rebounds. I hate Missou, but ill admit it, he could break out if he gets in the right situation. I don’t think his game is much like Hedo, but as far as scenario-wise you are right.

he has a great 3 point shot but hes not that good of a defender and kind of slow the diffencebetween him and Turkoglo is he doesnt have deceptive speed.

I like Kleiza because he’s strong and physical. He’s 6′ 8″ 245, so dude is solid. He’ll fight/battle and I like players like that. He’s competitive. He can play the 3 or the 4. He’s a talented offensive player w/ a lot of versatility. He can shoot it or put it on the floor and finish w/ contact. He has an underrated first step. He’s also a good rebounder. Like I said… He’s strong and fights. He also anticipates well. W/ the right amount of minutes, he could def. average 7 rebs a game.

The problem w/ Kleiza is mostly on defense. He’s slow as hell laterally. He struggles guarding wing players. He just doesn’t have enough quickness and has average athleticism. On offense, he’s very streaky. Like you said… One game, he could give you 40 and not even show up the next game. After having a somewhat breakout year in 2007-2008, he kind of disappointed last season. His numbers were down across the board.

W/ that being said, I think he’s best suited for the 6th/7th man role.

I actually think the Knicks may try to sign him. He will end up somewhere other than Denver IMO. Pacers are also interested. As for his potential he is a solid pro but I wouldn’t want him starting. Quality bench player. I doubt he will ever average 17ppg but he can grab 7 boards.

I can go with everything except for the average athleticsm. You know Denver is my team. I’ve seen his get up and dunk on many people. Also, to me, he could be a starter. Maybe had he been a free agent last summer. But because most teams’ needs are already filled, he may have no other choice than come off the bench. New York would be a great fit.

i don’t think he is a hedo i mean he was the number one fourth quarter guy on a team that just went to the finals i don’t think kleiza has that game in him but a tough guy who will bang rebond and knock down threes any championship team would like a guy like that on there roster

Dont take this out of context but, do the Pacers only want him because he is white? Because im pretty sure the 2 positions he plays are pretty filled for their team. Granger is going to eat up most of the minutes at the SF with Rush contributing there too. Troy Murpy, Tyler, and McRoberts all play the PF. What are they going to do with Kleiza there??

By average athleticism, I wasn’t just talking about his hops. I meant everything overall… Vertical, speed, quickness, agility, etc. He’s average at best.

this guy is good. He’s going to be starter very soon and make GM look good. A Kleiza signing for the Cavs would + Ring
