I’ll start by saying I hope Lillard stays a blazer for life…. but… if he does demand a trade where do you all think he could end up?
One destination that would be intriguing is the pacers. If Portland’s hands are tied and they have to move him would they listen to a package of Brogdon, Myles Turner and Pick 13?

Both the sixers and Celtics could hypothetically put together pretty strong packages for him centered around Ben Simmons or jaylen brown.

If they trade him it will not be for stars, it will be for a massive haul of picks and soon to expire deals

One fun trade would be Porzingis-Richardson for Lillard-Covington. Portland gets Porzingis, paired with Nurkic could be hard to beat. Of course Portland would need a PG so we can play here with Brunson as a sign&trade option with another expiring Portland contract to match salaries.

Portland gets another big who can play (even if I’m really not KP fan), would complement well with Nurkic who’d get to operate under the basket while KP would float around as he likes to do. McCullum gets a boost… but without any big help Portland isn’t moving nowhere… And since they can’t get help it might be time to move on.

Richardson would be a dynamic upgrade on SG position with CJ moving more to a PG spot.

Dallas pairs Luka and Dame. How do you guard these two? Yes, there would be more or less (less I guess) NO defense but Covington could prove useful playing 3 and D. More importantly – they get rid of Porzingis…

The pelicans could make a pretty reasonable offer with a package centered around Ingram, ball and picks.

    Knox to Portland
    Quickley to Portland
    Robinson to Portland

Warriors have more to offer by far that ANY other team- who becomes a contender by adding him (wouldn’t;t be a contender in okc, Detroit, etc). Easily- Wiseman, 2 first round 2021 lottery picks, Wiggins, beats all other offers.

He is locked down for thje next 3 seasons and then has a huge player option which will take him well towards the end of his career. Having 3 guaranteed years on his deal means Portland are in a strong position with their franchise player if they did choose to move him on or he asked for a trade. If he did go, I think they’d look to cash in on CJ McCollum and blow the whole team up.
Having given Chauncey Billups a long term deal as their new Head Coach it would appear they are looking to maximize the rest of Lillard’s prime years as if a rebuilding might have been an option then a top young college coach could have fitted the bill better.
The flip side is that Lillard’s super max soon kicks in and would a team mortage their future on him when for instance Bradley Beal is 3 years younger and only has a year left on his deal so could possibly get him for a lower price or as a FA next summer.
