sixersman111ParticipantThis topic is to discuss the players that had a let down season up to the mid range point.
Right now I have Irving his team is 16-31 right now and even though he is putting up impressive numbers in 22 ppg 6 apg per 20 his defense hasn’t been there and can possible give up more points then he creates. Plus he plays in the eastern conference that has teams like charlotte and chicago ahead of them right now. Now this could be mangement after i read a article recently about deng saying there is no accountability on there team. But right now I blame Irving since he should be the leader of the team.
Another guy I’m going to say is having a let down season is Tyreke Evans. Now i havn’t seen evans play this season, I do like to look at the box score of Pelicans games because the sixers own there pick this year. He has shot a career low this year at 40% from the field and 15% from 3. He is averageing around 2 turnovers per game in only 25 mins. I just figured with the new contract and new team he would perform a lot better since he isn’t with the kings anymore. But it seems like he might be the problem and the pelicans might end up getting stuck with his contract. But like i said i havn’t watched any of his games this year so I can’t really say for sure.
Interested to see who everyone has a letdown players so far this season

RUDEBOY_ParticipantJr. Smith after winning 6th man and helping the Knicks look respectable last season, i thought he’d become more mature this season and a possible All Star…But Dude has turned up the notch on STUPIDITY!!!

r377ParticipantJeff Green – Had some big games towards the end of last season. I thought without rondo, he would of stepped up and be the leader of the celts and average 20ppg.
Kanter isn’t really even starting lately (only when someone is injured) I think a few ppl thought he would be primed for a big season with Milsap and AL Jeff gone…..
Moe Harkless hasn’t really progressed much this season (he is still quite raw though)

jwall1ParticipantI disagree about Harkless. He has not been given enough playing time. He is averaging around 7 points, 4 boards, 1.2 steals shooting 45% and 35% from 3 in 21 minutes. He is still raw offensively, but if he were given more playing time and if they implemented him on the offense more he would be having a better year statistically.

HaleParticipantThe thing with Kanter is that he’s a terrible defender. He was putting up really nice numbers as a starter but when him and Favors are on the floor together they get killed defensively and clog the paint on offense. They chose to keep Favors starting and it’s hurt Kanter but if you put him on a team with a stretch 4 he could put up numbers today.

ChoppyParticipantWas hoping (perhaps naively) that he’d be able to help the Pistons by holding down the 3 spot. Instead his shot selection has gotten worse since he left Atlanta and he’s extremely inconsistent.

terrancebowerParticipantThought he’d have a bounce back season of sorts… maybe he would have though if the Bucks weren’t garbage right now.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI guess you could say the Bucks in general (Henson and Greek guy being the lone bright spot), but Larry Sanders has been insanely disappointing this year. He’s regressed in pretty much every way, sulking, not getting as much PT…he either needs a coach that believes in him or a change of scenery.

Chilbert arenasParticipantOJ Mayo, thought this was going to be his team, he and JR Smith really screwed me in fantasy.

jwall1ParticipantI’ve gotta disagree about Evans. Being a Pelicans fan and watching the majority of their games, he has been banged up and has often been playing through it throughout the season. He is averaging roughly 13 4.5 4.5 and 1.2 steals in 25 minutes. Pretty impressive considering he has been playing on a bum ankle for the whole season. When he gets back to 100% his numbers and playing time should go up..

BasketBalAllanParticipantWhat has disappointed me with Evans is that he is injured again. You have to start wondering if he will ever be able to put together a healthy season.

imAboutDatActionParticipantRubio. he’s regressed. i really wanted him to break out this year with Love and Pek,i thought the wolves primed for a really good regular season and possibly make some noise in the playoffs. but his regression has affected that. He’s still a great passer and a decent rebounder, but his shooting and finishing around the rim have been bad.

HaleParticipantHe was the guy I was going to mention. I thought with the addition of Martin and Pek/Love both being healthy he was going to jump into the top 10 PG discussion and have a big year. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case. He’s a huge liability as a scorer, is one of the worst players in the NBA when shooting at the rim and still makes silly decisions at times. I also heard a stat that he’s shooting 18% from the floor in the 4th quarter this year.
