Le’Bryan Nash has a lot of talent as a defensive stopper, cutter, and finisher on the break. And yet, he did not even get drafted.

Why do you guys think no team has picked him up for summer league yet, and do you think he can carve out a place in this league? Seems to me he has a ton of potential and has steadily improved with larger roles as he has matured. Seems a real waste for no team, like the Clippers, to give him a shot.

Some scrubs got drafted, but not him… man.

I understand why he didn’t get drafted, but I do feel he should get a chance, he can probably defend 2-3 postions in today’s NBA, make plays on the fast break, and provide energy, maybe a few slashes to the basket. He’s a good athlete. I would give him a summer league invite. He improved during his 4 year college career.

He’s not really a small forward, he’s a well-built, but dangerously undersized power forward

Celtics picked up Jonathan Holmes for summer leagues, otherwise I’d be eager to sign Nash.

i couldn’t believe that nobody took a flier on Jonathan Holmes in the second round. Going in, one of his biggest knocks was his "tweener" label, but he measured out at a lengthy 6’10" and played well inside and out at the combine. Perhaps if he had spent more time banging downlow in college as opposed to floating around the perimeter, he woulda been selected.  But given Texas’ roster, he wasn’t asked to. He has a decent handle and could play some sf in the league, or guard small ball centers. There are questions about his rebounding and explosiveness, this summer league is going to be huge for him.  I could definitely see him getting a guaranteed contract if he performs up to his abilities.

He reminds me of Robert Horry, but i believe he could develop into a player that can come in off the bench and be an ISO scorer possibly.  If he could become a full time sf by developing his ball handling and improving his lateral quickness (which I think he will), he could be the steal of this class

Yeah, snagging Holmes definitely makes up for not getting Upshaw, Wood, or Alexander. At least partially. If we don’t land Tobias Harris, Holmes will be a fun development project anyway.

I certainly think there is a calling for him in the big leagues with teams starting to covet versatile guys like him, but by that same token he really musn’t of shown teams much in workouts if no one took a flier on him. Teams are begging for guys in the mold he fits, so how poorly must he have performed in front of execs?

He’s gonna have to prove he can be a professional on the DLeague circuit before he gets sign.. I definitely could see Nash being a dleague success story, he’s a great defender but needs polishing

I don’t think LeBryan Nash will carve out a spot in the NBA he is more of a career DLeague/Overseas guy.
