Lawrence112ParticipantThere is no way he leaves Miami if they beat the Spurs this year. The truth is he didn’t like the situation with the Heat roster and he bolted. Just like 4 years ago. Just saying…

chrispaulwallParticipantAbsolutely agree. I’m sure going home and trying to bring Cleveland a title was part of it, but another part of it was that it helps his image and that the Heat were getting old. People are really defending LeBron heavily this time around, but this is largely the same situation. Regardless, he had every right to go wherever he wanted once his contract was finished, so it is what it is.

Lawrence112ParticipantWhy is it ok to bash him for leaving Cleveland 4 years ago but not for leaving Miami?

CanadianGMParticipantTwo completely different situations- one was made a spectacle and handled very poorly and this low key approach that didn’t get other franchises to involved and a well thought out letter. Plus Cleveland was where he grew up and that whole state looked after him and Miami already tasted past success. Miami got behind him for 4 years but without him, they will go back to their normal way of life. Cleveland has never tasted success and when Lebron left, they knew deep down that it was going to be awhile before they had something to cheer about. Miami will be fine, they are a championship organization ran professionally and a top destination for free agents. Cleveland is like Canada with good people and a cold climate. Perhaps there is something to drafting all the Canadians (Thompson, Bennett, Wiggins, Powell). They should improve greatly with Lebrons mentorship and will stick around when their turn at free agency comes up.

BlueLacesParticipantBecause of the way he left Cleveland and what he meant to that city. He went to four straight finals with Miami and won two of them. He accomplished what he set off to do when he went there four years ago.

IhateusernamesParticipantWhy does Lebron feel the need to please everyone? Why does he have to explain himself?
