JoeyGladstoneParticipantI used to hate Lebron, but he is honestly probably the GREATEST player I will “witness” in my lifetime. The guy is just unreal. If he wasn’t so arrogant I guess it would be easier to like him, but when you will be in the “GOAT” conversation when it’s all said & done why wouldn’t you be arrogant?

Charlie SheenParticipantLeBron is great but he will NEVER be in the GOAT conversation
Jordan/Magic/Bird/Russell the 4 Goats in my eyes, never left their team original team, though they had "Super Teams" guys came to them
Jordan- Pippen was acquired on draft night to join Jordan, he didn’t jump via Free Agency
Magic- KAJ was there already, Worthy was drafted by LA
Bird- same thing Parrish was acquired in ’80, McHale was drafted by Boston but Bird never left to join anyone
Kobe- was drafted when Shaq was there, they acquired Gasol, Howard, Nash, drafted Bynum
LeBron is great but jumping ship and joining D.Wade will forever haunt his legacy in the eyes of many and thats just the way it is, no one can take away his championship(s) or MVP’s but they will always bring up the Decision

F_Slebron is ALREADY in the goat CONVERSATION… c’mon now. pippen (jordan’s teammate) even said it.
maybe he will never be the goat, but he will ALWAYS be in the convo

Charlie SheenParticipantbeing in the convo means you should have chance to be the GOAT, he has no shot

F_SYOU think he has no shot, apparently cuss he left cleveland. some people (pippen) and even some analysts argue he is on par with jordan, so clearly he is the goat conversation.
you’re just being a hater

IndianaBasketballParticipantTalent, size, ability, etc? Yes, LeBron is in the conversation easily. He lacks the mentality of a Jordan, Magic or Bird, but he clearly has the some of that same "IT" they had. He’s got the same God given athleticism, endurance and just energy of Jordan (but with a better body) and came in with some of the understanding of how to play team ball/make his teammates better like Magic and Bird.
However, just overall/complete game, mentality, etc wise? I don’t think he’s in the conversation. He’s not close to being in the same conversation as Jordan, Magic or Bird. He has a chance to be in the conversation when it’s all said and done though. The thing about LeBron is he’s in his prime right now and can still get better in a few areas.

frogmanParticipantPeople have to get over the fact he left Cleveland in the case against him. If Jordan, Bird, Magic etc. had the supporting casts Lebron did then they would have left too. They were lucky enough to go to a great situation whilst playing in great markets which attracted other players as their careers went on.

frogmanParticipantAlso why does everyone hate that Lebron is a bit arrogant. Everyone loves Michael Jordan and he is the most arrogant athlete I’ve ever seen. Well apart from Muhammad Ali.

Charlie SheenParticipantI’m not being a hater, thats my personal opinion………I said he was great, one of the best talents ever but this dude is not on par with Magic/Bird/Jordan as far as being with the conversation of "GOAT"
1 ring, 3 MVP’s, 2 Gold Medals and 2 finals losses, sorry not yet

Charlie SheenParticipantJordan after 7 years finally got his, LeBron after what 7 year as well gave up and left but I blame Gilbert
If he would have dealt Hickson for STAT, LeBron would probably still be there

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt wasn’t Dan Gilbert who didn’t want Stoudemire… It was LeBron who didn’t want him. LeBron didn’t sign off on that trade.

frogmanParticipantNow you’re saying he’s not in the conversation yet. Before you said he has no chance of ever being in the GOAT conversation.
When it is all said and done I think it will be Jordan and Lebron 1 and 2 in most people’s minds.
