canesboy6ParticipantAnybody catch Lebrons post game interview? Craig Sager (in the most hideous suit ever worn on television, I mean it) asked him about how Derrick Rose went 2/14 in the 4th Q and OT with him guarding him, and the first thing out of his mouth, with a big smile on his face, was "Well the MVP is very fast and difficult to guard" Or something like that. But you could tell he was sarcastically calling Rose MVP.
My friend who doesnt even watch much basketball pointed this out and I really believe it. I had mentioned how well Lebron was guarding Rose, and she said, " It looks like hes scared of him". And it did. If you watch that 4th quarter, Rose played scared of Lebron.
Rose is a great player, and I love his potential and leadership, but he is still one dimensional. If he can’t attack the rim, he is easy to nuetralize. When he is stricly a jump shooter, he is inconsistent at best. The point has been made about Rose and Westbrook, and while they have so much great ball ahead of them, and their early accomplishments are worth noting, this is a mans game and at the highest level, grown men like Jason Kidd, Dirk, Wade, Lebron, Haslem, are going to get it done more often than not against the talented young pups like Rose, Westbrook, and Durant.

Scottoant93ParticipantSee this just proves how arrogant and stupid Lebron is, Drose is all by himself in this series and throughout the playoffs, sound familiar Lebron in Cleveland. You think he would respect him more since he should know how it feels, also rose is 22 and is a good shooting guard away from a finals team. Lebron stop being such a Biitch and respect a humble player.

TRC1991Participanti think lebron feels he deserved to be the MVP…and after watching this performance, im not sure he didnt deserve it as well
btw he said "the MVP has a lot of energy"…how can you tell if he’s being sarcastic and not giving him credit?

ilike.panochasParticipantLebron knows he is the superior player over Rose, and I can’t disagree. Rose was the MVP this year tho, he deserves it, but as a player, Lebron is still heads and shoulders above Rose.

kanyedabestParticipantya i really hate how the nba describes the mvp award…. it should go to the best player in the league that year… its a shame that kobe only has 1 mvp when he has been the best player in the league multiple years. i agree 100% with u messeee lebron is indeed head nd shoulders a better player then rose…. nd perhaps that was a bit of a jab to drose but its tough to tell

doubledribblerParticipantLebron is a bitter dude. I heard him say "the MVP" and I was thinking really dude? Lebron likes to take calculated shots when his team is doing well or in this case ahead. Rose is not the best player, but given what he had to work with during the season he was able to accomplish a lot. Not saying the Bulls don’t have good players, but they overachieved and for the most part spent the year having to piece together players through injury and make adjustments because of some of their limitations.
He’s better than Rose. That is no doubt. In my opinion there are a handful of guys that are better than Rose, but sometimes that is how the MVP award works out. I think my problem with the whole thing is that when Miami isn’t doing well they pout or Lebron won’t talk in interviews. When they win they are pounding their chest, talking trash. Be the same when you win and lose. Afterall not only are the favorites, but you have the BEST 2 players in the league on your team and an all star big man that you were able to snatch from another franchise…all under 30 and in their prime.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAre you guys serious? If LeBron were to have said, "Well, he was pretty easy to stop" people would have raved about how disrespectful he is. He compliments him and people still talk crap? C’mon son!

surveParticipantI dont normally agree with the MVP decisions but this year it was right. It actually lived up to its name. The title SHOULD mean exactly what it says.
Without Rose, Chicago doesnt even see the playoffs this year, but they finished with the best record in the league.
If you take Rose from Chicago, it could have almost the same effect as Lebron leaving the Cavs….and we know how that worked out.
