    http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/07/08/so-wait-lebron-is-staying/

After hearing all the rumors of LBJ going to Miami three hours before his announcement an insider of Lebron James says he is staying in Cleveland? Thats it im not believing anything else these reporters say about Lebron James instead I’ll just hear what he has to say at 9:00.

I hope he signs with the Knicks. Remember that great Heat-Knicks rivalry? Well, I think that it would be revived if Amare and LeBron team up to take on D-Wade and Bosh. At least MSG would start rockin’ during the playoffs again.

I still believe he needs more support in NY besides Amare,Chanlder, gallo and Douglas. Amare can score but in many ways he plays a role similar to Antwan Jamison. Sure hes faster, stronger and even a better scorer but doesnt play defense and during the playoffs for phoenix he averaged around 4 rebounds. Everybody entilted to their own opinion but honestly i prefer Carlos Boozer and the Chicago Bulls.

And Bill Walker isn’t bad. I think the Knicks are on the right track, especially if they get Parker next year and get rid of some bad contracts

LeBron will be announcing his decision in 3 hours… Let’s kill the speculating and just wait.

As a Celtics fan, the only reason Doc Rivers didnt play Bill Walker because he isnt a good defender and i dont think Lebron wants to face the celtics again having to guard Rondo,Allen,Pierce and Garnett at the same time. That was the reason why Cleveland lost, Rondo had a field day against Moe Williams and LBJ came to guard Rondo, Pierce had 29 points and 11 rebounds. This is why he needs to go to Chicago, Derrick Rose has all the tools to be a lockdown defender and Joakim Noah will lockdown the paint. Also lets not forget Chicago has a defensive mastermind in Tom Thibodeau. That way Lebron can just focus on one man for once in his career. And personally Miami is taking the easy way out.

Huh? That is still a great starting five. You don’t need more than that. However, with Eddy Curry’s contract expiring next year, the Knicks could sign another max free agent next year. How does the team look now if you add Carmelo Anthony? And also keep in mind that NY can pay the luxury tax, so they can blow through cap in certain circumstances and it is pocket change to MSG.
I don’t know where Lebron is going to go, but it is crazy to say that he wouldn’t be a contender in New York with the current squad and especially not with the to be named Eddy Curry replacement. It doesn’t matter who the seventh man on the team is.

I didnt say they wouldnt be a contender but the problem with the Knicks is that they lack defensive players, similar weakness and reason why Cavs lost to the Celtics. Good observation on eddy expiring contract although I belive Melo is staying in Denver. That team has alot of potential to become better.

Amare & Lebron w/Gallo, Chandler, and rest of supporting cast > Wade, Bosh, Chalmers, Beasley and others.
