I personally think that the fact that LeBron didn’t shake the Orlando Magic’s hand after they were eliminated from the playoffs sent out a bad message to all those young people that live and dream basketball. He touches on the fact about how during regular season games after a game, most guys don’t shake hands and I agree with him. The playoffs are more different than the season and when you don’t shake hands after being eliminated, it just send out a bad message. Even Kobe shook hands with Boston the year they got eliminated and that must’ve hurt way more because they were so close.

If you’re a star, act like one.

agreed. Everyone saw how unclassy it was when the pistons walked off the floor without shaking the bulls hands when chicago finally beet them. I think LeBron is a great player, but his ego is really starting to bug me. I agree with the post above me, “If ur a star, u better act like one”

Why should Lebron shake hands if he doesn’t want to? He just lost madd money for Nike by choking in the Eastern Conference finals. Do you shake a cops hand after he gives you a ticket? He was upset the stakes involved for him are different, he responds how he responds thats that.

No he is on some other sh!t. I use to be a fan when he first came out, but kid is really in the clouds nowadays. He starting to believe all his own hype. His head is gassed up and his ego is out of control. May he never win a title is what I am hoping. No class, just say you were mad and made a mistake, be a man. Say losing sucks and I handled it wrong my bad.

It doesnt make sense for people to make this much of a deal over him not shaking hands. I mean come on, if he wouldve been smiling and holding long conversations and shaking heads everyone would be like “Lebron is all about himself and not about winning” and “Why does he look nonchalant after a humiliating series loss”? I honestly dont care at all about him
not shaking hands, and if you do you need to get over it, rub some dirt on it, and get back out there! Get off his shaft, its unhealthy….

why he should just man up and say he was wrong because they are going to ride his shaft until he does. Why do you care so much about defending him. You know all he has to say is it was wrong and he was pissed he lost Iguodala9. He could end this sh!t if he wanted to. Stop defending him. Only one on it is U.

I actually agree with iggy on this one. I’m not a lebron fan and I do think he has a big ego, but it’s surprising people made such a big deal over the not shaking hands thing. Media just want to conjure up a story out of nothing and fans want to hate on the dude because he is succesful. Any time a player gets to the top and people compare him to the greats like Jordan, people are gonna want to tear him down. I’ve dealt with it for years as a Kobe fan. He had to win a title without Shaq before a lot of haters had to shut up. And Lebron’s gonna have to deal with the same thing until he finally wins a title as well. The Magic players see lebron multiple times throughout the season, I seriously doubt they feel upset about him not shaking their hands. That’s just the fans and media who feel that way.
