ChicagoCaseyParticipant- One of the most annoying things that people keep saying about LeBron James is that no one can carry a team to the finals like he did. That’s so annoying because it’s not like he goes through a gautlet to go to the finals and face alot of elite teams to go there. It’s like his team is a lock to go to the finals. He goes to the finals with weaker teams because of the lack of stronger teams in the east. But we go about as it shows LeBron James greatness because he carried a Cavs team to the finals with a depleated team. Most of his die hard fans and the media is throwing that around to show his greatness and make it seem like Kobe couldn’t do it and Michael Jordan couldn’t do it. While most of the media dog the east and how pathetic the eastern conference is on mostly every topic, but when it’s about LeBron they bruch it under the rug and make it seem like he’s god because they made it to the finals.
- I hear/read about how this championship that Golden State won have to have an asterisk by it because they beat an injured riddled Cleveland team, weaker western conference opponents, and injured opponents in the west. I have something to ask. Do you give the Miami Heat an asterisk by their championships because they beat an inexperienced OKC team, went through the east without Derrick Rose, and going against weaker eastern conference foes no. Do you put an asterisk by LeBron finals appearances because he had an easy path to the finals all 6 runs. Also, it’s not Golden State fault that San Antonio wasn’t good enough to beat the LA Clippers and the LA Clippers not being good enough to beat the Houston Rockets. They had the best record in the league, so of course they would have an easier path to the finals than everyone in the west.
Sorry for the long rant.

notsofastParticipantthat okc team was super dangerous. look at their entire film (not that you would) that entire season and their playoff run (you said inexperienced? look at them in the western conference playoffs, they breezed thru it like a boss). 30 out of 30 nba execs chose OKC to beat miami in the finals.
lebron beat jimmy butler and derrick rose’s bulls. with who on the cavs squad? nuff said. that WAS the eastern conference finals.
Jrue Holiday
Patrick Beverly (not a big game changer but still can be effective in about 3 different aspects)
Mike Conley
Uncle Drew / Kevin LoveWhat do they all have in common? GSW had clear health advantages but of course you’re going to say "Injuries are a part of the game" righhhhhhht?
Hats off to any team who wins a ring in any year, thus hats off to the GSW this time around, however it COULD have been a different story should all 5 of those players i mentioned above been healthy. The first 3 players may not have won the respective series (although a slight case can be made with conley), but those last 2 COULD have.

ChicagoCaseyParticipant- Inexperience is still inexperience.
- Kyrie Irving did play in that series. Pau Gasol also missed time. And this isn’t the Drose of old.
- Jrue Holliday only missed one game and he wasn’t even a starting or even playing big minutes. Patrick Beverley, isn’t a big difference maker. And they beat Memphis when they still had Mike Conley on the court. It’s funny how fans be like "we don’t need love and we are better when love don’t play" to "we needed Love" and "If Love played we would of won the game" LOL. Kyrie Irving did play game one, right. They still lost the game and looked horrible in OT with him.

fliptonnParticipantI get what you’re saying but i don’t think anyone is trying to say Kobe or Jordan couldn’t do it, just that what LeBron has done over the past 5 years is great. The Celtics were a very good team, the bulls have had some very good teams, the Magic were very good with Dwight, the Pacers were quite good with Paul George and Lance. This year wasn’t quite as impressive in terms of competition but he didnt have very much to work with. I don’t think it’s ridiculous to say that he’s great and carried his team.
