the_truth34Participantalot of the articles i have read also they talked about PTI today saying that nike confiscated the tapes when lebron james got dunked and that this shows how much lebron james is a prima donna and is worried about self image does anyone think this to

ckowalskiParticipantI think by him taking away the tape it hurts his image not because he is seen as a “prima donna” who doesn’t want to get dunked on but now we can let imagination run wild over what happened. People probably think Crawford crossed up LeBron at halfcourt, broke his ankles, then LeBron got back up and Crawford went to the basket and jammed on him, all while putting his hand in LeBron’s face and sticking out his tongue like MJ. In reality Crawford’s man probably got screened and he got an easy dunk, with LeBron just happening to be the person to switch on the screen and not getting there in time. Personally I think the tape will show up somewhere though. The head guys at Nike are probably watching it right now and laughing about it.

storm33ParticipantWasn’t it Nike that actually confiscated the tape? I heard that they wanted to protect the image of Lebron, and that he wasn’t involved in the confiscation. In defense of Lebron, he could’ve been a prima donna and asked for a trade from Cleveland because of the inept managent’s horrible attempts to acquire players to play besides lebron. i mean, the lakers net gasol, the magic get carter, and the cavs…resign varejao to a 6 year deal, sign anthony parker, and get an old shaq. i mean, if he was truly a prima donna, he would get his ass out of cleveland.

HaleParticipantThis really isn’t that big of a deal. You guys are blowing it way out of proportion. He got dunked on and the tape was taken away, yeah it was stupid to do, but really is this the kind of stuff we should be talking about? Are we going to talk about how Baron Davis challanges people to staring contests on youtube next? Really, get a real topic because this is stupid.

HaleParticipantWhat is your point? That this is a huge deal and it matters a lot? Umm no. I agree that he shouldn’t have done it but it doesn’t matter in the slightest. This isn’t a big deal at all.

sameolGParticipantyeah this might be the most overrated story of the year lol atleast we all know he got dunked on really bad and Nike wants to protect the person who’s camp it was… it was gay of em but let this one rest, he’s been dunked on before and we actually got to see it… please quit looking for ways to exploit Lebron, we know your favorite players should of won MVP last year lol

Josh_CochranI was there covering the event for Nbadraft.net and saw the dunk right in front of me. Crawford went left and got by Danny Green to then find an open lane. Then LeBron helped off of his man and made a legitimate attempt to block the shot (I thought he was going to block it or force a wild shot). To Crawford’s credit, he went right at LeBron and finished with two hands. He dunked it around LeBron’s arm, had he gone right through him, it would’ve been blocked. Still, it was very impressive and the roughly 150 people in the gym went nuts.
This is where the story gets a little fuzzy for me, because LeBron didn’t act like it was a big deal when it happened. He simply grabbed the ball, inbounded it and ran back down the floor. The high school campers were giving it to him a little bit, but he didn’t seem disturbed by it. I never saw Nike or anyone confiscate the tapes. Nor did I see LeBron call over a Nike rep. That’s not to say it didn’t happen, but I would be surprised if LeBron orchestrated it.
He’s getting a lot of criticism for this, when people should be giving him credit. He hosted this camp to help players develop their games. He didn’t even have to show up, but he was there everyday, working out with the high school kids and scrimmaging the college guys. I actually found him to be very cordial.

JNixonParticipantLebron is acting like he has never been dunked on before. I mean Ive seen Courtney Lee, Nick Young, and Andre Iguodala dunk on him in games before. Romeo Travis dunked on him in practice in high school too. Maybe its because he is the “best player in the world” and he got the business from a college kid.

Knicksboy34ParticipantI heard 2 things
1- there’s another tape
2- Nike may make it into a commerical

HaleParticipantIf it is made into a commercial every single person who said he acted like a prima donna will look like a complete dumba$$. I hope they do it.

MuggsyParticipantI’ve never liked Lebron due to his attitude. He’s a brat. Yeah he’s a sick player but I find it hard to root for players like that. I don’t think this was his fault or decision, it may have been and Nike just says it was their decision only though, to protect him YET AGAIN. After he walked off court without shaking hands in recent playoffs I lost the rest of my respect for him, I’ll never view him as a decent person. And don’t go saying “omg but he gives to charity”. NBA players are required to, especially the stars. You honestly think most these kids would give up their money without their agents down their throat telling them it will look good in the public eye? Hell no they wouldn’t give a dime. That being said I’m not necessarily just hating on Lebron, theres a ton of other NBA brats that have the tendency to annoy me.

HaleParticipantSince you are so quick to criticize LeBron why don’t you name those other players.
