First off, I am a Cleveland fan, I still hate the guy for leaving in the fashion that he did, and if he came back I wouldn’t buy his Jersey, I wouldn’t root for him, Ill root for the Cavs, but not him.

Over the past few months I’ve noticed things that would lead up to him coming back to Cleveland.

#1. His group told the press that he wants to go back to Cleveland, not only for reaction but to lighten up the fans to the idea.

#2. Helping the Cleveland rookies (Kyrie and Tristian) transition into the NBA, in interviews the interviewer asks who has helped them the most, they say LeBron.

#3. A part time radio co-host(Female) who is close with all the current and former Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers that LeBron plans to opt out and come back. http://www.stationcaster.com/player_skinned.php?s=70&c=476&f=686681 (Around 5:30 they start talking about him)

#4. And now he changed agents to Rich Paul who is close friends with LeBron and Dan Gilbert and is 100% Cleveland.

Do I think he want’s to come back, no. But I do think he wants to be portrayed as a hero who came back to save Cleveland.

    Thoughts?

This is just something that popped into my head at 3 in the morning after reading he changed agents.

    Toodles.

If this happened, I wouldn’t be surprised. After winning a few championships in Miami, going back to his hometown and possibly winning more(or even just making them contenders) will make him even more beloved and would probably propel his legacy.

If he truly wants to come back, as a Cavs fan i would welcome him back with open arms. I hate the way he left but i don’t think his disrespect was intentional. He has established himself as the best player in the league and at the end of the day i want to win, but i won’t get my hopes up because the chance he returns is very slim.

Of course he will opt out. He’ll be able to sign a longer, more lucrative extension, much like Kobe did a few years back.

I think he helps out Cav rookies because he probably feels bad about how he left Cleveland. He played there for 7 years, and grew up a few hours a away, I’m sure there’s a lot of guilt he feels, and he wants to do something to make it go away.

I think it’s a long shot to have him come to Cleveland, due to how he left, the boos he now recieves, and the things Gilbert said, but to just think about it team wise they would probably be pretty good. In a year or two Irving/Waiters/TT/Zeller and this years likely top5 pick will start entering their prime, while Wade and Bosh will begin to decline and Miami will be too tied up with their salary to add anyone significant. Signing a five year deal with Cleveland would insure he would be playing with a steady, young and talented supporting cast the entire length of his contract. But that is pure fantasy, a massive long shot to ever happen.

Wow that would be a great story of forgiveness.  I’d think it would be really cool if he went back to Cleveland.

Despite what owner Dan Gilbert has wrote or said,he’ll love to have Lebron play for his team again…The value of his team went down after Lebron left town….I think i read somewhere that Lebron’s departure cost the city close to 16 to 20 million dollars a year…

But This is mostly talk to ease the pain for fans in Cleveland..Sure he misses playing in that area, but i doubt you’ll see him playing there anytime soon..Maybe toward the end of his career..

Cleveland tried but they never got the right players to play with him…And after the Cavs failed to trade JJ Hickson for Amare and Lebron’s failure to talk his buddy Bosh into coming there..So despite how much he loved the city,He knew he had to leave if he wanted to win a ring….

But the whole city really felt like he left for a hotter chick in Miami. Regardless what everybody says about the way he did it, in Cleveland it was that he dumped us. We were the lame girlfriend that couldnt move on. I say us but I wasn’t a fan, like his game just wasn’t a fan. I only like people that dont play basketball for fun, like KG and Westbrook. Play for keeps. I like Ray Lewis for the same reason. Besides all that, Gilbert would issue a public apology to have him back and his son Nick would host the "Recision". Lebron didnt want Amare for JJ, he insisted they trade for Bosh and Toronto said OK but Bosh said I am still doing what I want, no promises. JJ was his boy and the team again asked him could they go after Amare in the off season. Him and Amare are not boys.

Well considering Miami have the worst fans in the NBA, I think its a possibility. If Miami fails to win for lets say 5 years, expect changes. Might as well let go at least one of the big three. If that’s the case, all these bandwagon clowns will not buy season tickets again

Bron haters would welcome him back. Rich Paul is 100% Cleveland and wanted the Cavs to trade up for MKG, he was here working out unofficially at highschools and gyms. That’s who the Cavs would have taken at 2 if Charlotte was giving it up. If he won another with Miami over the next two years and then came and won 2 more in Cleveland,Cleveland, Cleveland (if you say it three times slow it has the effect I am looking for), he would probably be past Jordan in everyones eyes born after 1990. People think he gained money by leaving but not really, Dan Gilbert opened a casino here and in the first three months made more money than the Browns, Indians and his Cavs made combined all of last year. What’s crazier is this is just the front casino that being used till the real one on the river bank is done being built. Gilbert also used to take Bron to these billionaire expo’s where he introduced him to billionaire and their plans for the future.

From a basketball stand point it would be ideal. Lebron would be a few years older and having a body that is already somehow more athletic and agile but still bulkier and more muscular than anyone else. After years of that wear and tear he with the choice of a aging Wade getting knee injections in Germany would be better served going to play with Kyrie in company. Bosh put on some weight last year and hurt his groin, they may be unrelated but he put on weight his last year in Toronto and hurt his knee. Simply from a basketball stand point it could make sense but what if all his younger protege’s want to play with him, Wall could leave the Wiz and come play in Miami. That is what made Miami so special of a case, two great players and a really good one just decided to come because they wanted to. That can happen for him again at any point whenever he or any body else who becomes a free agent wants it.

"he would probably be past Jordan in everyones eyes born after 1990" … fortunately you add "the born after 90"

I don’t know for them (I’m from 83) but for everybody around me who watched basketball during the 90’s leBron will never pass Jordan (even from people who don’t like jordan).

You can sell the "good story" of the kid back in town to win titles, but leBron didn’t leave cleveland to play baseball after his father’s death. Not the same kind of emotions…

And it wont even be close not even with 7 championships. I think 1990 is a good date, they only know the shoes and references not the invincibility, that was evident whether you loved or hated MJ.

I highly doubt Lebron would go back to Cleveland that letter Dan Gilbert wrote was not nice, and Lebron has a huge ego and probably didn’t think to highly of the letter. So I highly doubt he would go back unless Gilbert gets fired.
