bdoody42ParticipantDidn’t Mo Williams guarantee the Cavs would win the series?
Now him and Lebron can play golf. Who you is better?
Does this affect the plans of Lebron for 2010 offseason?
What do you all think?0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/30/2009 - 5:23pm #154617

pistonsmanParticipantwho would want old washed up ben wallace he’s old, does not score, can’t play D. So really hahahahaha

thekingParticipantIf I said it once I said it a thousand times. Give away the pick to get rid of ben or Z, then go get an allstar bigman. Rasheed Wallace and Carlos Boozer are both free agents.

sheltwon3ParticipantThey need to find a way to get a big in the mold of perkins or big baby

sameolGParticipantIt was Lebron by himself this series and Dwight had the mismatches of the year lol

The8thDeadlySinParticipantLebron needs a allstar that is not a point guard. Lebron runs the point 60% of the time. He needs a allstar big man. Try to steal a center from somebody and bench Z. Their lineup needs to be Mo, Delonte, Lebron, a shooting PF, and a center that is a stopper. Maybe a Perkins type at center and a Lewis type at PF. I would love to see Shaq there for a year.

cprizz15Participantthey need a big, BIG time.. they do have J.J. Hickson in the molds thou, along with a first round pick this year.
what do you guys think they should do on draft night?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/30/2009 - 7:32pm #154686

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI’d say go with the best player avaliable. Maybe work a trade for a better big. Also, try to get Terance Kinsy some more minutes. Guy has some potiental.

spokomptonkdubParticipantZ is way too old and bald to play the game anymore. everytime dwight posted him up down on the block it was an easy deuce. he needs to go back to russia and join the mob. i also think they need to dump mo williams. he’s a good player but he doesnt belong in cleveland. he kind of reminds me of an allen iverson type whereas hes a shoot first-pass second point guard and hes not a winner. they need a chauncey-type, or i think lebron should run the point just like magic did. basically i think the cavs still have a lot of work to do to get over that hump, lebron WAS THE TEAM in the postseason, and hopefully they can get a sleeper in this years draft who will be able to contribute from the get-go next year.

Meditated StatesParticipantHe alson needs to stop saying “my guys” when refering to his teamates. He should also stop calling his teamates the “the supporting cast” I never heard a basketball player refer to his teamates as his supporting cast. I don’t like this dude and hope he does not win a title. I am a celtic fan and would rather see Kobe win another one than Lebron get one. Go Magic 4 real.

BubblebuttParticipantThe reason Lebron says supporting cast is cause that’s what Jordan used to say. It’s a way of marketing that he’s the shit if not one of the greatest in the game. Jordan would always call his teammates the supporting cast, it’s was a way of motivating them. Phil Jackson came up with it. When the team would not do good Jordan would say supporting cast to let his bros know dudes you screwed up, I scored 30, I think that’s good enough. Can I please get some help cause I’m playing to the bone and I don’t see everyone competing with the same intensity. Jordan def tells a select few guys how to play the game and how to talk to the media. Barkley’s in there and so is Ewing, you know he works with Howard. Phil Jackson would spend hours if not an hour every day with Jordan going over how to play the game, how to talk to the media; how to get the best results out his teammates. How to dress and how important your appearance is in the public eye.

MelParticipantI think LeBron will definitely opt out of his contract now with the bitter end to a great season. The Cavs losing is probably the best news for the Knicks who will offer him a huge contract and go after another top-tier talent. I hear Nash is leaving after his contract is up anyways. So maybe the Knicks can sign LBJ, Nash for cheap, he’ll be 36 and a player like Joe Johnson to play Scottie to LeBrons MJ.

tuck243ParticipantThe Cavs were the best TEAM in basketball this year… It showed in the first two series and in the regular season… The lose to Orlando shows that they were OUT COACHED, OUT PLAYED, and believed in their own HYPE (including LeBron)…
The Lakers took a player the Cavs didn’t want in Brown and made him a role player!!! Lets get this str8, when you dont play as a team, you will lose… You know why they jumped out to 30-10 leads in 3 games because they played as a team!!! The problem is when they went to LeBron his game killed the momentum… He holds the ball, kill the shot clock and make decisions… Yea that works to average a triple double but dont work when you are LOSING!!! He had help… Mo scored 17, Anderson scored 14, Z had 6, Ben had 2, and Delonte had 22… Wally came in and hit 2 threes and Boobie hit some shots… He had his team…
LeBron isn’t what you think he is… He is spectacular once every 5 games… If LeBron shoots 30% from mid-range and he’s hitting them like he did in game 5, that should jump out and say this won’t happen again… Whenever a player hogs the ball at the top of the key for a whole quarter you can’t tell me that he is a team player!!! Jordan NEVER did that, Kobe NEVER did that, Magic NEVER did that… LeBron wasn’t the only player who can score on that team… He chose to be the only player to score on that team… He didn’t trust his teammates and it showed…
Like I said they were out coached… Why is LeBron on Rafer? He’s a SF, at least guard your position… this common sense… For the whole series analyst were calling for LeBron to guard Lewis… Did he? Delonte did a hell of a job on Turk… When did Turk go off and scored? In the 4th, who was guarding him? Not Delonte… This is my point he had HELP!!! They got Out Played and Out Coached!!!
Believing into the HYPE… I should never see a commericial when LeBron says “My range?” “Pretty much UNLIMITED”… LOL… LeBron shoots the most open shots of ANY superstar I’ve ever seen… He misses the most open shots of ANY superstar I’ve ever seen… He shoots 38% from 3pt and 30% from mid-range… This is the best player on the planet? If he can’t get to the line or the basket its a wrap… No game at all… And its people like YALL that his lack of game isn’t criticsized for it… He’s 6 years into the league out of high school… I look at his game and go back and look at someone like Tracy McGrady 6 years in and realize that LeBron is Lights Years behind in becoming the games best player!!!
Just because someone averages 25, 7, 7 doesn’t mean he’s an all-around player… I always said averages (not Percentages) is very misleading… LeBron is 6-8 – 260, no go to moves and no post game… Guards the weakest link on the floor and was considered for Defensive player of the year? Why? Because he blocked open court shots? LOL… Even you bought into the HYPE…
Averages? Jason Kidd is a triple double machine… When he was in his prime no one said he was the best player in the NBA… So why would you say that for LeBron?
Better than Kobe my A$$.
Play as a team, Win as a team… Win with Class, Lose with Class… Something yo boy doesn’t know about….

ghostfaceParticipantIt’s not the like Magic had an average season. They almost won 60 games. The Cavs had the best player, but the Magic clearly had the better team. Lebron’s teamates are just not good enough to beat the elite teams. Orlando’s 5th best player is probably better than Mo Williams. Lebron’s starters wouldn’t even start for most other teams, maybe Mo Williams. Jordan had a better supporting cast than Lebron. The Bulls had a winning record and made the playoffs when Jordan left to play baseball. I don’t think the Cav’s would win 10 games without Lebron.
It’s too early to say what Lebron will do in the 2010 offseason. Depends on how well they draft and how they do with trades and free agency.

bobbybParticipantThe Cavs didnt choke- Orlando just a bad match-up for them. Dont blame the supporting cast, The supporting cast was fine to get them the 1 seed and blow out the first 2 teams in the playoffs. The Gm did a great job to put all those shooters around him. And the Cavs were not afraid to spend money this year. Dont blame Big Z, no one can check howard

BubblebuttParticipantThank you, no one can check Howard he’s playing at a high level. Give Howard the credit he is do. Everyone talks about Lebron and Kobe but Dwight is the best at his position in the world unless Bynum does incredible. I would put Ming in this talk but he has no finals to back him up plus he should get more blocks. In closing, Howard should get props he plays the game the right way.

TexasFan101Participantdont blame anyone, because its not anyone’s fault. The Magic had the better players, so they won. The Cavs were unstoppable at home, during the regular season. The Hawks arent in their prime yet (except for bibby who is past his), and the Pistons are passed their prime. Thats why the Cavs killed both of them. The Magic came ready to play, and of course Z couldnt guard D12, he is the best player in the world to me because he is the best at his position, and if he won some championships he could end up being the best of all time. People always talk about how Lebron is “only 24”. GUYS DO WE FORGET D12 IS 23!!!! He still has alot of years left. But in the end of his career he will be one of the top 5 centers, it will be hard to beat Chamberlein, Russell, and Shaq but if anyone can do it, it is him

dandunk76Participantanyone think they should still go after jason kidd or shaq this summer? i think jason kidd would be great he brings leadership and doesnt mind not being the star at all. shaq could help them out alot aswell. they also need a good wing player ideally 6’6 that can defend and shoot. i think having delonte west and daniel gibson on the same team is a mistake because they are both undersized for sg even if they can shoot well maybe they should look at sam young and danny green in the draft

NCKevin11ParticipantI only get to watch the Cavs when they’re in the playoffs, so my observations may not be the best…
They definitely need some time of stronger post presence. Z is a obviously a decent center, but he just doesn’t have the post strength that you need to defend the bigs in the NBA. I suppose that Shaq could help if anyone is willing to take a pay cut.
I dont know about this, but I think that they need bigger wing defenders. West and Wallace were no match for Turk/Lewis. If they could get someone like Shane Battier, I guess that they would have less matchup problems.
