So where does everyone want these guys to end up?

I personally would be most interested if Lebron goes back to the Cavs.  I don’t prefer it but it would be entertaining.  Also, if Melo somehow ends up on the Celtics or Rockets (Celtics with Love and Rondo and Rockets with Harden and Howard), both teams would be really fun to watch.

I actually think both have a good chance of resigning with their teams, especially Lebron, but there will be crazy temptation to pair up with other stars since there are so many teams that will pursue them.

On the other side, I wouldn’t really enjoy to see either of them on the Lakers, Melo staying with Knicks, Lebron on the Clippers.  It would be nice to see how far the Hawks get in pursuing both, I’m guessing not far, but looking forward to the next few days.  Should be crazy..

Is it possible for LeBron AND Carmelo to end up on the Bulls?

If the Bulls traded Taj Gibson and Dunleavy, and amnestied Carlos Boozer I think they might be able to do it.

They would essentially pay four guys: Rose, Noah, LeBron and Carmelo.  Jimmy Butler and Tony Snell are still on their rookie deals.

Those six guys with a couple of draft picks would be very, very interesting.

I they would have to lose Noah too unless Melo or Lebron take a huge pay cut just to get under the cap

I think they have to land LeBron or Melo.  I don’t know what else they can do to make a title run in the next two years of overpaying Kobe.

I think Riley somehow gets the band back together in Miami and LeBron stays.  I think Melo is in a different uniform next year.

Yeah, Lakers desparately need one of them.  It would be funny to see Kobe take a backseat, he might not to Melo but would for sure with Lebron.  Wonder if he’d handle it better this time around.

"Wonder if he’d handle it better this time around."   Better than what other time? Hopefully you weren’t refering to the idea that he should have taken a back seat to Dwight Howard.

I meant Shaq…he kinda ran Shaq outta town and he seemed bitter that Shaq was getting most of the credit.  Thats what I always got from it at least.

F the Lakers. I don’t want to see LeBron or Melo on the Lakers. Kobe’s ego would probably ruin that team any way, just like he did with Dwight.

I see Melo going to the Bulls, LeBron going to the Cavs where the T-Wolves would trade Kevin Love and Corey Brewer for Andrew Wiggins and Tristan Thompson.

Bulls line up would be Rose,Butler,Melo,Gibson,Noah

Cavs would have Kyrie,Corey Brewer,LeBron, Love, Varejao with Waiters and jack off the bench

Then let’s make it interesting and say Luol Deng and Channing Frye sign with the Heat to keep Wade and Bosh in Miami

Now 4 legit title contenders in the East with the Bulls, Cavs, Heat, and Pacers will make it more interesting for the NBA

I want LeBron on the Bulls and Melo on the Heat.

I think on opening day next year LeBron is in Miami, Melo is in NY and Love is in Minnesota.

A lot of players come out and say they just play to win, but really, if players really want to win a championship rather than take the cash why not take less and go with a contender? Otherwise, surely they could back end a deal by taking less the first few years and getting a franchise killing balloon payment later?

Why not consider the Spurs? They have 8 mil or so in cap room, then 10mil more per year when TD is done dont they?

Im thinking Melo here. Lebron did this to join Miami and i dont think anyone can doubt it was the right move after 4 finals in a row.

If you forget the cap numbers for a minute, if teams are willing to find a way to make moves to clear space or pay luxury tax, i think there are intriguing options out there.

For example, the core group in Memphis has been consistently competitive and is a quality wing away from a real shot. The window is closing, but Conley-Allen-Anthony-Randolph-Gasol and their pick (TJ Warren?) is at worst, far better than the NYK.

I honestly think they’ll both end up resigning, but I’d really like to see LeBron sign with Phoenix.  They have the most cap space, a bunch of young assets, 3 first round picks, and it’s not a market you’d expect one of these guys to sign with.  They could become contenders in one off-season with all the different assets they have, and it would just be cool to see a big name free agent sign there IMO.

I also think it would be a lot of fun seeing LeBron, Bledsoe, and whoever else they brought in play together.  It would be a fun team.

Being from Phoenix I have a lot of pride in the city but I don’t think they could handle a star like Lebron. It is the 6th largest city in the country and population wise much bigger than Miami, but besides all the babes at ASU it’s not a very “sexy” city.

Lebron to the Kings would be sick.  Lebron and Cousins would be Kobe Shaq 2.0.  Think of the hella tight alley oops mclemore and lebron could do.
