Anton123ParticipantSo every of the past two years there have been a couple international guys drafted in the late first round by teams who wanted a draft-and-stash prospect. Usually these guys were not projected to go in the first round prior to the draft and were seen as "surprise" picks.
In 2013 it was Livio-Jean Charles (#28) and Nemanja Nedovic (#30), last year it was Bogdan Bogdanovic (#27) and, almost, Damien Inglis (#31)
So who is your international guy that unexpectedly sneaks into the first (maybe very early second) round?
My guy would be Cedi Osman, this guy is currently not in either the 2015 or 2016 mock draft on this site, but he is a 1995 born 6’8” guard/forward, who is athletic, a good shooter and has okay handles.
In the half court he is very raw and used mostly a spot-up three point shooter, but he excells at the fast break, where he is both a good finisher and passer. He plays for Dario Saric’s Eurolegue team Anadolou Efes.

juves4783Participantegemen guven out of turkey is the name that keeps popping with the espn guys (chad ford and dan goodman). soft hands, good footwork and passer but needs to add strength and a mid range game.

Anton123ParticipantBy the way if you want to see young prospects at the highest level in Europe – Anadolou Efes is a great team to watch. It has Dario Saric, Cedi Osman, Furkan Korkmaz and Okben Ulubay. Unlike most Euroleague teams, they actually play their young guys, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

European BasketballerParticipantThis is a total nonsense comment. Euroleague teams tend to use young players much more than NBA teams do. So what you are saying there is complete nonsense. In fact, it is Euroleague teams that have some high schoolers playing in them.
It is common place for many young players to be playing in Euroleague, or even for nearly entire teams in Euroleague to be super young, so young that such things would be considered insane in NBA.
So your comment there is complete nonsense. If anything, many Euroleague teams and coaches are overly obsessessed with playing young players that are nowhere capable of playing yet and actually have no business even being on the court, and that actually does nothing but hurt their team. Efes would be one of those teams. They are playing a whole bunch of totally useless players that are nowhere close to being good enough for Euroleague level, simply because their coach is obsessed with playing young players.
I cannot even think of a single coach in the entire NBA that would not be fired if he even attempted such a thing. Even the teams that are openly tanking would fire a coach doing that.
What you imply, that Euroleague teams won’t play young players is ludicrous – it is the precise opposite for the most part, they go out of their way to play some useless kid that should never even see the court.

RUDEBOY_Participanti like both those guys…osman can also play the point..he’s very good at creating plays for himself and teammates….guven reminds me a little of pau gasol….
1.willy hernangomez is a tough, versatile 6’11 guy from spain could also slip into the late 1st round….
2.boris dallo, a 6’5 point guard from france, plays alot like tony wroten..needs work on his outside shooting( he might be a mid 2nd rounder)
3.rasmus larsen, a 7 footer from denmark…very skilled offensive player….

Hoop GuruParticipantHow about Cacoclo to the Raptors at 20 last year? How many had him in their 2nd round mock or new he existed…Christian Eyenga in 2009…etc.

HitsterParticipantMousa Diagne of Senegal is 40th on Aran’s latest mock so could be a big man stasher for a team in 27th to 30th range.
I think all other likely names have been suggested above. Cannot see any other draft eligible guys on any of the other major mocks.

barbabodomParticipantIf Lucas Dias from Brazil enters this draft he´ll selected in the late 1st round. At 16 yo he was MVP of Jordan Classic, played well in the World Championship and now, at 19yo, is bombing in Brazil youth league and getting minutes at the adult level. He currently plays for the same team Caboblo played last year and is projected to be a 3/4.

European BasketballerParticipantOf the players that were mentioned here so far, Korkmaz is by far the best player. I don’t think he even eligible for the draft though, since he is like high school age kid, which just further proves my point that he should not even be on the court and it’s a nonsense his team plays him. It’s just manager games these teams do to try to secure large buyouts.
It’s amazing some people from NBA fan viewpoint could not grasp that yet after all these years…………
Anyway, correct answer should be Mitrovic of Red Star. But then again, with crazy NBA way of "evaluating talent" he might not even get selected at all.
