OhCanada-ParticipantWe have very exciting races going on in both Conferences on the eve of the Playoffs.
7th Pacers 37-33, 8th Bulls 36-33, 9th Pistons 37-34 and 10thWizards 35- 36.Washington has won five in a row and are finally healthy including blowouts against Chicago and Detroit. The Bulls are also healthy right now but for how long, when healthy they can beat anyone.
Out West 6th Trailblazers 36-35, 7th Rockets 35-35, 8th Mavs 35-35, 9th Jazz 34-36.
This has been a really fun season can’t wait to watch how it closes out.

r377ParticipantI think Utah will make it in, will be nice to see some different teams in playoffs for a change. Fingers crossed Houston don’t make it….

BleedGreen808ParticipantMavs might be the one to fall out in the West with Parsons having surgery on his knee for a meniscus tear.

XYRYXParticipantThis might he true but I learned to never sleep on the Mavs. The fact that they are where they are know speeks for itself and I would really like to see them facing the Warriors in the first round. Remember when Dirk was named MVP and they won like 60 games that year and looked like the team to beat only to lose to the Warriors led na Baron Davis in the first round… Honestly this probably won’t happen but there have been crazier things like that in the postseason and ontop of that I absolutely can’t stand the Rockets anymore. I hope they don’t make it and the Jazz face the Spurs in the first round.

festar35ParticipantIndiana have the easiest run out East so I think they get there. I think Washington has left it too late at this point so that other spot will be between Chicago and Detroit.
Looking at the schedule I think Chicago gets there and I think they could push up to the 7th seed.0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/22/2016 - 3:24pm #1049515

Hype MachineI’ll back the Jazz to make it.Theyre playing well lately. I doubt they’ll make any noise as their whole franchise lacks killer instinct but on current form they should displace the Rockets or Mavs. Quinn Snyder began with a hard edge…but this season seems to have purchased into the Jazz Owner, Greg Miller’s ‘love for all’ attitude. Sorry Greg…being super nice and giving away prizes on ‘Undercover Boss’ is admirable but doesnt help you win basketball games. For those that dont tune into Jazz Games…Shelvin Mack has been surprisingly good and proven that Trey Burke belongs in Santas workshop. Additionally Joe Ingles has proven to be a difference maker in an increased role too with clutch shooting and lockdown roles.
Just seems to me that the Jazz have found the right balance.

Hype MachineHe gets my award for the most laid-back, friendly player in the NBA. It’s like he spends the afternoon before games in a Chinatown opium den.

Captain LParticipantAustralia,
He truly is a glue type player, has high basketball IQ, good passer, surprisingly good 3 point shooter , type of player every team could use.

Hype MachineDetroit into the playoff seedings today…Bulls out.
Props to Aron Baynes on his recent play. Many scoffed at his 3yr 20m contract….but find me a better backup C in the entire league who provides efficiency, defense, productivity, championship pedigree, bruising and midrange game like Big Banger.
Underrated signing by Detroit. SVG changing the perception of Detroit Basketball with gutsy signings.

HitsterParticipantGreat performance by Portland to be in with a shout at making the play offs after losing so many starters last summer and it looked like they were going to rebuild and regroup. Utah getting in would be good progression for them too. Teams like Houston and Dallas are expected to make the play offs so a bit of a change to the line ups freshens things up.
The Mavs would be an interesting 8th seed but I think GSW or Spurs should take them.
Out East we ironically have teams with a winning record in the play offs, other years 36-38 wins often gave you 7th or 8th seeding. Now it’s looking like being 42-43 wins approx. I haven’t looked at the respective run-ins yet and a lot can depend if some teams already secured in the play off or wanting to tank put out lesser line ups in games etc.
I’d like to see Detroit back in the play offs for the first time in several years and I think the Pacers should make it too but Washington and Bulls both have quality if all are sound and can push them close. SVG has done a nice job at Detroit and they are the sort of team who could really kick on next year and be a 50 win team.
