Lotto StudParticipantCavs – Melo
Knicks – Deng Varejao
Bulls – Waiters Clark
How I see it everyone makes their last minute dumps deadline time.
Everyone see LeBron "potentially" heading to Cleveland but how about Melo instead.
Knicks don’t miss a beat at the SF spot by adding an unselfish scorer and defender also Varejao backing up the always injured Stoudemire and Chandler.
Bulls get a solid combo guard in Waiters who can relieve the stress of not having Rose around by adding that extra scoring punch, Clark is just the throw-in.

FearTheStacheParticipantSo the Knicks are going to trade their top 10 player for an impending, oft-injured free agent, and an also oft-injured center they don’t need?

JordoParticipantWhy swap expiring contracts of melo and deng. Both are going to be FAs. And why do the cavs trade a guy with some behind the scene issues but can be an explosive scorer for melo who could leave and say screw this mess in cleveland. and NY gets screwed. Like you get rid of an elite scorer and add an ok scorer and a rebounder, hustle, defensive guy. And no real PG out there to facilitate.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantNo seriously, this trade is terrible for everybody except the Cavs. Just completely take Melo out of the deal.
The Cavs would give Waiters and Clark + a Sac first to Chicago for Deng in a heart beat, even knowing he was a one year rental who is going to miss some games. The front office here has always liked Deng and is so desparate for a wing shooter its ridiculous. The Cavs have helped a few wing players get extra money over the last couple years, including Iggy and Batum. Both received huge offers from the Cavs that helped them sign offer sheets to other teams as leverage. Batum’s offer was a little bit bigger than the one he signed with Minny that Portland matched.
