I told everyone he was gonna start. Howland said Kyle does not have the foot speed to up with the top Pg’s. Its gonna be tough to keep Lamb and Powell on the bench long, and i could see Kyle at the 3 playing a Iguodala type role, and Shabazz starting at the 2. But they both have eligibility issues so we will see. They started both the wear twins in China along with Drew, Kyle and Lamb. Starters should be

    Drew/Kyle

    Bazz/Lamb/Powell

    Kyle/Adams

    Wear/Parker

    Wear/Smith

Just because a player runs the point doesn’t mean he has to defend the opposing point.  That’s why Kyle’s a point forward, not a point guard.

Let’s hope Larry Drew plays better for UCLA than he did as the starting PG at Carolina.  The guy some talent.  His work ethic and attitude were pretty horrific at Carolina.  He never stayed in Chapel Hill to work out with teammates over the summer and coaches said he rarely ever worked on his game outside of practice.  He didn’t even tell Roy he was transferring, he has has his daddy tell him.  I hope Larry Drew has matured and can be a serviceable player for the Bruins.

In their best interests they shouldn’t be starting both twins

I think he’ll be better.  If anything, I think his experience at North Carolina was a reality check.  Nepitism can only get you so far and just because your dad is an NBA coach, that doesn’t mean you’re untouchable.  I suspect he put in a lot of work last season and will show up ready to go next month.

Drew always had the tools. He’s quick and a natural passer who has potential as a floor general. He just has to play confident. His Soph. season at UNC he was too turnover prone and tried to play fast because the game wasnt slowing down for him, but then his Jr. season when the game slowed up for him he became WAY too conservative and stagnated the offense. I just hope he’s gotten more confidence and showed more willingness to work because he can be a solid college PG.

That sounds like a player who doesn’t know how to run an offense naturally.
