saladdaysParticipantWhat do you guys think about Landry Fields? He had a solid first year in NY, showing serviceable scoring/defense/rebounding, but has struggled with injuries (nerve injury in his right arm which forced him to shoot differently), consistency since then. Still, he’s 27 y/o with decent size…does anyone see him maybe coming off the bench for a team like the Lakers, who are badly in need of a good defensive wing? What other FA SF’s do you guys like?

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI actually would of preferred for them to keep Wesley Johnson. However, Fields wouldn’t be a terrible pick up for them at this point, as they need depth on the wing.

llperezI was a big supporter of Landry coming out of college but I’m not sure what happened. At this point meh, lakers seem content going small ball talking about playing Kobe/nick young at sf and clarkson/Lou will at point. Will be awful defensively but if they want a defensive wing is fields really the best available?

MopgrassParticipantI don’t understand why they didn’t spring for Perry Jones. He was available for a 2nd rounder. What do they have to lose?
They’ve lost all of their summer league (underlined) games while trotting out 60% of their starting lineup. They are in TROUBLE. Or being clever by shooting for that top 3 pick. Depends on your perspective.
