primetime24kParticipantI know there has been more than enough posts about Lance Stephenson, but I am curious as to what kind of stats you guys see these three putting up. These three players really intrigue me…
Assuming Lance gets the starting job and the Pacers to not trade for a better PG..
Lance Stephenson- 13.4 points, 3.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds, .8 steals, 45% from the field
Paul George- 10.3 points, 2.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals, .8 blocks, 44% from the field
Jeff Teague- 13.8 points, 5.9 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 44% from field with a lot of free throws…When do you guys think Jeff Teague will get the starting job?

fastdanParticipantBetween Johnson. Crawford, and Bibby Teague won’t get to handle the ball enough to average those numbers. Even if he starts I’d be suprised if he can even break 28 minutes. Other then that I think those a pretty realistic numbers, as long as Lance starts.

primetime24kParticipantI agree with you about the minutes…
I really think Bibby takes a back seat this year, but thats my opinion

JNixonParticipantLance Stephenson- 14 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, .8 steals, mid 40% FG
Paul George- 7 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steals mid 40% FG
Jeff Teague- 11 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, low 40% FG
I think Teague will be the starter by around the 15th or 20th game of the year. Bibby runs the offense better than Teague right now, and he provides more reliability. I think he’ll be ease into the starter role.

ghettosermonParticipantTeague is a good complement to Joe Johnson however since JJ loves to handle the ball and Teague can play off ball. I still question Teague’s playmaking ability though. Also at the end of games if it isn’t Bibby in it’s probably going to be Jamal in there, and Jordan Crawford will be getting playing time as well.

JNixonParticipantTeague needs the ball to be effective, but Joe can play on or off the ball. It’s going to be interesting to see if Coach Drew relies more on ball-movement than Coach Woodson did, because if he does it’ll help play in both Teague and Joe’s favor. If Teague can’t adjust to a ball-movement offense, and continues to need the ball to see the most success, his development will be slow and it’ll set the Hawks back more than it should at important moments of the season, since the Hawks wouldn’t be willing to let him dominate the ball with Joe Johnson on the floor too.

primetime24kParticipantI completely agree with JNixon’s last post… Will be very interesting to see because Teague does indeed need the ball to be effective

Mr. JewboyParticipantare yall really that sure that stephenson is gonna get the starting PG spot, and on top of that put up those numbers?
i dont know it doesnt make much sense cuz he was picked like 40 as a SG, so to start as a PG from day one sounds pretty absurd0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/30/2010 - 12:04pm #365735

TONYDABOSS77ParticipantHe’s Not Playing PG Because He Was Brought In To Play PG .. He’s Playing PG Because He’s The Best Playmaker On The Pacers

scoutguruParticipantif lance starts i hope he can put up those numbers. I really see him shooting somewhere in the high 30’s to low 40’s in terms of fg %. He shot 44% in college, and for the way he was suppose to dominate, it should’ve been higher. And remember, his shot selection is very poor, not to mention his 3pt %, thats poor as well. So if he can shoot in the mid 40’s, then he’ll really have improved his shot selection and game, which will be a good thing.

JNixonParticipantHe played off the ball in college for extended time, which is something he’s not that great at. He’ll be playing on the ball at PG, and given the size advantage he’ll have in nearly every game I’d be surprised if he shot 30% from the field. I expect him to be in the mid-40%.

SteroidParticipantThat’s true. I’ve never seen Lance do a lot of ball handling in college…

IknoBall12Participantid really like 2 see lance get the start. im pretty over tj ford rite rite about now. I think indy needs a fresh start and stephenson can possibly play a tyreke evans like role for the pacers. of course he wont put up numbers like reke did but jus an example

dipt1982ParticipantNot so sure Stephenson will start, but it is Indiana, anything can happen with what little they have. I like George’s game, I think he will eventually be a really good player…somewhere in between the Marion/Josh Howard kind of style, just not sure he’ll get a ton of minutes…
Not too sure if Bibby will take a backseat quite yet, I see him starting at least next season, and maybe start to find his way to the bench…
