MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantWow… the Lakers really shouldn’t have traded this guy for nothing. I can’t believe one of the most versatile players in the league right now is being sent down to the D-league to play for the Texas Legends. I know he’s not playing well this year but to send him down to the D-league is just plain disrespectful to the reigning 6th man of the year. Odom needs to get his focus back and I don’t think sending him down to the D-league will benefit him but only lower his confidence even more. I know it helped the likes of Jeremy Lin to achieve well in the NBA, but we’re talking about a veteran guy who has played in numerous championship games and is coming off one of the best years of his career being sent down to the D-league.

gopack10ParticipantHe isn’t really being "sent down". He has been away from the team for a few weeks dealing with a death in his family. The Mavs said they want him to get his legs back before he comes back. It isn’t a demotion. I think they are going to move him before the deadline. He wants to be with the Lakers and I think he will ultimately resign with them this offseason.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantWhen the Eagles traded McNabb to the Redskins only the Eagles knew he was a bum. Everybody called it a bad move, turns out it was a great move, for the Eagles. We shoulda knew the Laker’s and Mitch Kupchak are idiot’s. They McNabbed the Maverick’s, plain and simple.

JoeWolf1Odom was too impulsive when he demanded a trade after being mentioned in rumors. He was shipped to a team on short notice right before the season started and you can almost tell his head as been elsewhere. Maybe from personal issues, but I feel he should have let his emotions calm down before being so rash.
Also, no one has ever mentioned me in trade talk, lol. I’m not going to pretend to know how that feels, but it is part of what goes along with being an NBA player. He’s not the first or the last to go through that, and compared to many of his peers, he handled it poorly.

chevilicousParticipantAccording to reports he was the one who brought up the idea of going to the D-league and getting his legs underneath him, so I’m a little unclear how thats considered "disrespectful. Might wanna to start reading the entire article and not just the headlines.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantWith the reality show and the whining I think he has reached the pariah level. When you are so much of a p*ssy you become a team cancer.

if you are saying the odom trade was a bad move for the mavs u r so wrong…
dallas is in win-now mode first of all, and cant wait to develop a player.
odom is one of the most versatile players in the league offensively and perhaps has no flaws to his game, you can play him PF, SF, and that point forward position. gets around 10 rebounds a game and is not hesitant to push a fast break. a great asset defensibly also.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantHow are the Mavs in win now mode when Cuban is trying to only have Dirk on the pay roll next league year start. If that were true why is Marions contract a albatros on the Mavs payroll. Not because he is a good player at a okay price, because Cuban wants DWill and or D12. Everybody wants the Mavs pick from the Lakers and every player talked about that may get traded for the trade exeptionand pick has been playing better than Lamar Odom. Sessions, Beasley, Dragic: the list of fringe starters who somehow play better than Odom goes on and on. He’s done, washed up and a bum.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantamnestied Haywood and signed Chandler this year if it was win now mode.

Future_Scouthow is trying to add d-will and howard not win-now mode?
this was obviously a move you’d do last year if you want to increase your chances of winning THIS year….
they don’t have time to develop "the pick" they got odom for…
now, u think w.e you want, to each his own
