thats not the reason…the mle was there initial contract offer ..you dont ever offer what u are willing to give at the first sitting. lakers put out a starting bid..arizas agent felt he was worth alot more so he went to test the market and found out the market wasnt very high for him..while doing that though artest got in contact with the lakers and told them how interested he was and let them know what it would take to get him and the lakers jumped right on it..odom will get less then what he made last year and he is cool with that which is cool as long as he stays:)
