BasketballGuru24ParticipantI have learned that Lamar Odom had a phone conversation with Lakers owner Jerry Buss on Thursday. I am told the purpose of the call was to rebuild any bridges that Odom’s agent, Jeff Schwartz may have burned by not responding to the Lakers offer of 3-years $30 million, and 4-years for $36 million.
According to reports today, Miami is offering Odom a 5-year package.

sakuragi84Participantyeah, apparently part of the problem was that when jerry buss made the first offers, odom and his agent didn’t respond so he got frustrated and took it off the table.

dwat4444ParticipantGod I hope LA keeps Odom. I really think they have a shot at 3 in a row if they sign him to a long contract.

sheltwon3ParticipantYou have some stupid agents. If i was Ariza I would fire my agent. Ariza I think if from the West Coast and he could have played with a contender for the same amount of money he will be getting to play for Houston who may not see the playoffs for years now that Yao and T Mac are out. Once you fall out of the West playoff rotation, it is hard to get back in. You have 3 solid team and a few young teams trying to get in. By the time Houston bounces back OKC may be a playoff team and they should be close next year and they have too much young talent to give up that spot once they get it. GSW and the new LA clippers will be trying to get in as well.

romeeezybabyParticipantNot only was he a west coast kid, but he grew up in LA! Playing for High School powerhouse Westchester which produced NBA players like; Amir Johnson, Gabe Pruitt, Bobby Brown, and Hassan Adams. He also went to college to UCLA. I’m sure it’s always been a lifelong dream to play for the Lakers let alone win a championship. His agent screwed him big time!
