valentineA battle is brewing between potentially the two best Centers in the NBA (Bynum is the potential Howard is already there) Bynum is playing like a mad man in the first 7min, 7pts 5reb 1st 1ast. Of course he will get the ball less and less as the game goes on. Howard 7pts 3reb 1blk

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThis is exactly why Bynum is needed in L.A.
Their biggest strength when he’s healthy is their size.

Stanford hoops1Sad that we don’t get these type of match ups in the post anymore. Back in the day every week there were good match ups at the center position
Mutombo vs Ewing
Zo vs D.Robinson
The Dream vs Brad
Shaq vs Rik Smits
Those were the days when the giants ruled
the paint

Stanford hoops1If only you could stay healthy Bynum. When he gets good post position even Howard can’t stop him

Wavy BagelsParticipantas i am watching this game, i realize that dwight isn’t that good passing from the post to the perimeter when in double/triple teams…if he can improve in that field, the magic perimeter offense will flourish.

Stanford hoops1He hasn’t been triple teamed once though. He was doubled once and the rest have been one on one with another player watching him just in case. Howard has been a very good passer out of the double for his career, why you think Orlando hits so many threes

Stanford hoops1Why does Fisher try to create shots for his self. Had Bynum open in the post twice with his man sealed

llperezbynum is playing at least as valuable as pau right now if not more so. Its the little things his size brings to the table and having 2 7 footers out there. If he can get rhough the season/playoffs healthy more people will come around to how valuable he is. I know this is one game, but dwight isnt looking much better then bynum.

Stanford hoops1And he plays like this every time the Lakers decide to play inside out. Its not like its a fluke. I’m not saying he is better than Howard but i can honestly says he has the potential to be mentioned at the same level if he stays healthy and is given touches because he is long strong and has very good skills int he post

llperezman, lakers getting screwed on all these end of the quarter plays. Kobe got fouled at the end of the half shooting a 3 and shoukld have had fts now arenas throws a lob while standing 5 inches out of bounds and the magic get the basket.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLA better get back in Kobe and Pau. This game is getting out of hand.
It’s a shame how slow Arenas is. He can’t beat anybody off of the dribble.

Stanford hoops1yeah Howard started going to work. Can’t be too upset because he is the best and that’s what the best does. Can get mad about Paul letting Howard punk him. Seems sometimes once the Lakers get down they stop fighting as hard. Like a guy who is playing one on one with someone to 11 and once the score is 8-2 he stops playing as hard on D and says " i let you do that"

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantHuge win for us tonight. We’ve been losing a few games against the top teams in the league lately and it was good to get back to a strong performance against a contender like LA. Dwight was a beast.
