JoeWolf1The Lakers have signed Mickeal Gelabale, a 6’7” small forward. I don’t know a whole lot about him, but he played the last couple years with the Sonics/Thunder and sat out the last year with a knee injury. Do any of you guys know anything about him?

llperezexcellent defender. Can’t create his own shot. Solid athlete and spot up shooter. Seattle gave him some pretty consistent minutes a few years ago. He’s a hustle guy. This is not good for Morrison and Vujacic if their shots continue to struggle.

MagikKnickParticipantmost likely a non-guaranteed contract, and he most likely wont make the roster

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI think he could be a less polished Ariza. From the sound of him, a great defender and a spot up shooter, thats what Ariza did for them. However, I dont know anything about him. I do remember when he played for the Sonics. I know he had a crazy last name and braids.

llperezI know Kobe was never stopped by Patterson or any one person. But Ruben did as good a job as anybody I’ve ever seen gaurd Kobe.

sheltwon3ParticipantRuben had legal troubles and like a lot of players he just never was able to get back into the league. He played real good one year and the next year he was just gone. Same thing happen to Bonzi but I think Bonzi it was his attitude. AI almost did not get signed and he scored over 17. There is so much young talent that unless a older player can fit in a secondary type role or just be in the right place, it is hard for them to keep getting deals because younger talent is cheaper and have more upside. I watch Mickeal Gelabale play for Seatle and I like his game. he has to work on his shot but dude is very athletic and is a strong hustle player. Morrison and Sasha minutes will be down to almost 0 as Mickeal, and Shannon Brown should get those minutes and also Ron Ron will get more minutes than Ariza. With a healthy Bynum, You got Odom, Walton, Brown,Farmar, one other guy who could be Mickeal to be the bench. Everyone else will be garbage minute players.

JNixonParticipantGelabale is a good defender, athlete and spot-up shooter. He does provide what Ariza did. He will be a Phil Jackson favorite.
