MopgrassParticipantThe Lakers should send Josh Smith a thank you card. They’re tied for the 5th worst team. With the Smith-less Pistons surging (4-0 since losing him), the Lakers may be able "achieve" 4th worst and have a better chance at holding on to BOTH their protected picks (1st and 2nd rounders).
Yet, Josh Smith, the gift that keeps giving, can also drag down the Rockets (who owe the Lakers a pick). They’ve lost 3 of the 4 games he’s been present for. So, now, he’s also helping the Lakers get a higher pick from the Rockets.
If the Lakers end up with the 4th, 17th, and 34th picks in the draft, they should give Josh Smith the keys to the city.

ChoppyParticipantHe’s worth paying 5mil a year to make go away. Best money Detroit ever wasted. Would’ve been better if Joe D never signed him in the first place. Enjoy the L’s Houston.

Jr. ROXASParticipantDang this guy’s just crazy man. I drafted him in fantasy thinking he’d be perfect for the triangle, then he gets injured right before the start of the season. Then after like a month, reports are circling he’d return so I add him again, then he gets freaking injured again at practice; same hamstring. Then today he gets injured after just 2 minutes of action. Man, do I feel sorry for Knicks fans.

alex23ParticipantThis is one of the funniest things I have read here since don042488’s claim that Josh Smith was a "Krypt". Coincidently that was about Josh Smith too lol.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantSo far, Josh Smith is proving it is far easier to check out than check back in.
The only problem with him being the Lakers MVP is that Jim Buss is still in charge. While examples exist that luck can really mask stupidity in some instances, it is not something you should rely on. It sounds great having the pick, but they gave more annual money to Jordan Hill than the Bulls gave Pau Gasol. Guess who has the final say on the pick?

llperezhill is only one year gauranteed. And the lakers tried to pay pau, certainly offered him a lot more then the bulls did. Its not like buss valued hill more then pau, he just ewanted out and decided money wasnt important. As for buss making the pick, i think he did great last draft getting randle and clarkson.

RickyRubio9ParticipantRockets are 3-3 with Josh Smith.. Relax. He isn’t bringing us down so much as our team is playing like crap and lazy. Although the opponents are nothing to look past (@ Grizzles, @Spurs, Wizards, Hornets, @ Pelicans, and Heat.)
However he is helping on the whole Pistons group apparently.
