ChammesParticipantSo PG is all but gone to LA but where does that put Ingram? He’s a 3 and way to small to play 4 and is George really a 2 guard?

Scrooge McDuckParticipantThey have Josh Hart, Kuzma, Tony Bryant to round out the bench.
The Paul George trade is far from a done deal. The celtics have the most to offer in a trade. It hinges on Hayward’s decision.

ZouldiersParticipantWhy not play Ingram at the 2 then George at the 3. Ingram’s length is a matchup nightmare for opposing 2’s.

ChammesParticipantPG is going to LA and Boston probably won’t be able to keep him even if they get him and Ingram isn’t quick enough to guard 2s

Andv1 WaitingParticipantIngram Sf on defense and SG on Offense
PG SF on offense and SG on Defense.
also
PG can spend time at pf also just not full time and has sometime at s.g in Indiana and wasn’t horrible and Ingram once he bulks up some more could play PF,SF,SG.PG in spurts….
So those are also options. ..

llperezlets not pencil pg13 in yet. I predict hell spend next year somewhere else and its no gaurantee he comes in 2018. If he does come, hell play sf and ingram will play sg.
in the meantime, pg-lonzo ball, sg-jordan clarkson, sf-brandon ingram, pf-julius randle, c-brook lopez
bench: josh hart, kyle kuzma, ivica zubaca, luol deng, thomas bryant, tarik black, corey brewer,
then some free agent fill ins, particularly in the backourt where they need a backup pg and another spot up shooter to replace nick young/deangelo russell.

jacobkeyParticipantIngram isn’t quick enough to consistently play SG or strong enough to consistently play PF, even in small ball lineups. PG13 probably can play anything 2-4 and maybe even 5 for short stretches in a Warrior-esque super small lineup.
I think the best case scenario would be in 2019-20 the Laker lineup looks something like this:
PG-Lonzo Ball
SG-Klay Thompson
SF-Paul George
PF-Julius Randle
C- Brook/Robin Lopez/Gortat/Even (Gasp!) Dwight Howard
6th man-Brandon Ingram
This is obviously HIGHLY speculative but no doubt something at least vaguely similar to this is the outline Magic and Rob Lowe–I mean Rob Pelinka–have in mind.

nill650ParticipantKlay is not leaving arguably the best shooting team ever assembled to play in LA

nill650ParticipantPG13 would go back to playing the 2
but he aint going to be Laker this year with what Pacers are demanding

mgreener_34ParticipantGeorge going to LA huh? I’ve literally heard that every big name in the NBA is going to the Lakers since like 2010, and only one of them has, Howard, and that was an absolute train wreck. In todays world, and the money that’s been thrown at players from contracts to endorsments, LA just isn’t the destinaton that it used to be, and people need to get off that. They have been a terribly run organization since the new regime took over, and I think Magic needs to get things back on track before tier 1 talent even considers LA right now.
Lakers lineup will most likely be:
Lopez- Zubac
Randle- Nance
Ingram- Deng
Clarkson- Hart
Ball

ChammesParticipantdidnt make that clear, i think he can be traded to boston but unless they win a lot or he just likes it there, its up in the air.

HitsterParticipantIf PG13 did go there I could see him playing as a stretch 4 with Ingram at SF and Randle at C. Luke Walton was part of smallball line ups whilst on GSW staff so could go that way.
With all the talk of PG13 or Hayward as a target for Boston then one of them would need to potentially play PF there as the Celtics have Brown and Tatum at SF.
