valentineThe Lakers put a azz whipping on Dallas( the same Dallas team that a couple of people on here said match’s up with us very well because they have 2 seven footers in Tyson Chandler and Brendan Haywood Bynum finshed with 18 and 13). Only 2 and a half games behind the Spurs for the best record in the NBA. Watching the game you can see we are in playoff mode now and ready to run through who ever is put in front of them. For the two or three Laker fans on here we never waivered as far as who we think is the best team and favorite to win the title. There will be a couple of people who will flip flop right back to saying the Lakers are the favorites to them but they will be the same one’s who said the Lakers are to old or wont win because they lost 4 games or Kobe is too old in the row for the first time in years. Still don’t think the Lakers can turn it on and off whenever they want too????????????
If the Lakers don’t catch the Spurs that’s ok because they have shown they can beat them on there own floor. Like i said two years ago, last year and earlier this year when many of yall doubted the Lakers, They are still the champs and still the favorites and still THE BEST TEAM IN THE NBA.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantCongratulations Laker fans, I hope you enjoy the NBA post lock out, maybe then you’ll have the same advantages as Cleveland…

llperezlakers are on fire right now.
As for all the altercations tonight, im glad all 3 lakers ejected did what they did. Terry was dirty starting it all and barnes was sticking up for his teammates. Brown was thrown out just casue it was game over and the refs were playing it safe.

kaceyParticipantI think the Lakers will catch the Spurs. I thought Duncan was suppose to be out a little longer, surprised to see that he returned tonight.
The Mavs did just play last night and the Lakers were coming off a 3 day rest, but the Lakers looked solid. The only positive for the Mavs in this game is that they showed some toughness. Sure, Terry’s push was a unnecessary, but the Mavs need to shake that soft label. Terry has to knock down open jumpers, can’t believe Phil bashed him in that interview saying "and we will leave Terry open." Terry has to be huge off the bench if the Mavs don’t want to be eliminated in the first round.
However, if Lakers get the 1 seed and the Spurs get the 2 and the Mavs at the 3. I’ll take that.

xavier328ParticipantBeside Dirk Dallas big didnt make our bigs work on defense….if we meet in the playoffs should be a good series..beacuse Terry isnt going to play like this every game….
Spurs i cant see going that far in the playoffs….if they happen to run into big and athletic team like the Thunder can spell doom for them.

llperezwatching cwebb breakdown the ruckus, and i had to laugh at him saying "and you know peja aint gonna do nothing" as they show peja standing there all by himself.

Sasha4MVPParticipantJason Terry is a little b*tch. I guarantee that if it was Kobe, Barnes, Artest, or anyone else on the Lakers, then Terry wouldn’t push them down. But no, Terry tries to act tough and punk Blake, who he obviously thought wouldn’t get in his face. Thank you Blake for not taking that crap from Terry. Such a dirty play.

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipantLakers gotta keep playing this kind of ball because this is what will bring a 3rd championship…LETS GO!!!

SteroidParticipantBlake has trained in MMA in the offseason before, so I’m sure he wouldn’t punk out to Terry or anyone else. It doesn’t surprise me.

The lake show2Ummm sorry Scare crow but its already been said if they do a hard cap or whatever they are not gonna make the teams over the cap give up players. There contracts will be basically grandfathered it. Sorry to disappoint you but you’re probably looking at more dominance by the Lakers. And with teams not able to sign a bunch of max contracts the Lakers will sign top players for even less money since everyone wants to be a LAKER..lol
Lakers beat Dallas then says
"WHO WANT SOME OF DEBO"-Friday

The lake show2Yah i thought Duncan was gonna be out longer. Gonna be much harder catching the Spurs now

KayjayParticipantThe only team standing a chance against the Lakers in the west is OKC and maybe the Spurs. Spurs are starting to look hollow though for some reason. But we all know they kind of change during the play offs too.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantBesides having the ugliest jersey and most fair weather fans in the wide world of sports they also get no respect from other fans throughout the World…Once this monoply effect the Lakers and Celtics have going on is terminated through the NBA( there will be a hard cap and the players with the grandfathered contracts you speak of will be released)…there can be no ruling on a hard cap without enforcing said rule…u can’t allow the already rich teams to take advantage of pre lock out loop holes like the luxury tax system…so I digress, have fun LaLa land…

andxxxParticipantWhy are you guys talking about Lockouts and salary caps like its good for the league? Enjoy the season and enjoy the playoffs because I can guarantee its going to be exciting this year

The lake show2Blah blah blah… Championship number……..damn i lost count lol here comes another for the fair weather fans who seem to fill the seats up even in down years
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/01/2011 - 6:39am #516464
The lake show2Exactly.. I’m enjoying the season i think its the ones who are fan of teams who envy the Lakers

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Lakers have a ton of Championships yet their fans always act as if they’ve never been there before, that’s what leads me to believe a lot of you are fair weather ,bandwagon jumping, championship stealing talent raiders…every rule put in place to ensure equality throughout the league has been worked around by the owners of large market teams willing to out pay the other teams with less fortunate economies…if the league imposes a hard cap, teams like the Lakers and Celtics with 90 million dollar payrolls while be granted BS grandfathered contract clemency ins tead of living in reality, cutting a few bloated contracts and level the playing field….a lock out will the best possible for the entire
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/01/2011 - 8:22am #516480
The lake show2Its already been talked about that teams over the cap wont be required to cut players.
But you’re right @magmo68…Three-Peat once again

Afactor4ParticipantHey Scarecrow, I don’t know if you’ve been to Southern California but your opinion of Laker fans will undoubtedly get worse if you do come.
Worst part is, most of them have only been watching the sport during the playoffs for a few years and think they’re amateur basketball analysts.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/01/2011 - 2:27pm #516579
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipant@ lakeshow 2, why create a rule teams can circumvent…Let’s tell Indiana they can’t spend more than 60 million to build a competitive team while The Lakers, Celtics and other violators of said rule can operate under trumped up loop holes like Grandfathered Contracts…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/01/2011 - 2:59pm #516587
The lake show2Because they know owners ain’t buying it. Owners and players seem to be in agreement as far as not making teams just give up players. Just like many rules that have changed before this and teams where allowed to grandfather in certain things. I’m sure fans of bottom feeding teams don’t like that though. Anyway none of this is even close to being a done deal so why am i even talking about this..lol
Back to the here and now and playoffs coming up…Lakers on a roll and going for yet another title….Gotta love it Laker fans
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/01/2011 - 6:18pm #516640
kaceyParticipantSpurs lose again. A Lakers win tonight puts them 1.5 games back right? And I believe the Lakers and Spurs meet head to head in these last few games.
As a Mavs fan I would love to see the Lakers get the 1 seed and the Spurs get the 2. A potential 2nd round matchup with the Spurs is better than one with the Lakers.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/01/2011 - 6:30pm #516643
The lake show2We gotta put away Utah in this fourth quarter first. I’m watching the Heat very closely though because they are now in second place and making a charge for not only first but the best record int he NBA
0 - Posted on: Fri, 04/01/2011 - 7:23pm #516651
The lake show2Now that the Jazz just lost and the Spurs lost the Lakers are now 1 1/2 game’s behind with a game against the Spurs coming up soon
