Tobe BryantParticipantIf LA ends up with that 13th pick or 18th in this year’s draft, who do they target? PG is a desperate need so I say they go with that, or trade up and try to nab one of those SFs on the board.

delfamParticipantyeah I think it would have to be either Kendall Marshall or maybe Terrence Ross if we was still there. PG is more desperate need though so I’d go Marshall, but I doubt he even comes out.

gopack10ParticipantThe Mock only shows the Lakers with one pick this year but the way I see it they have two. They have their own and they have the one from Dallas.
Am I missing something?
I agree that they have to go best available PG with their first pick and then a backup wing with the next pick. Kendall Marshall or Myck Kabongo would be the two guys that could fall to them.

Game760ParticipantPretty sure the Mavs pick is top 20 protected FOREVER….
Odom was traded fir the trade exception as they believed they would land DH12So nice pipe dream of a teens pick…but lakers will stay old 😉

xavier328ParticipantIf we Opt for a PG it wont be KM…..More likely Myck Kabongo….We struggle aginst guarding quicker PG for the past years….and drafting Marshall with his weakness at "D" wouldnt help our problem.

giveklovehispropsParticipantis right…the Mavs pick is top 20 protected until 2017!! So the Lakers won’t have a top 20 pick in this upcoming draft…even if they did I don’t understand the hype around Myck Kabongo?!
This kat is averagin 10ppg, 5apg in almost 30mpg this year at Texas. I know he’s only a freshman, but top 15 pick?! Really?!
Yeah it’s a PG driven league right now, but all the top ones dominated college basketball during their time. They didn’t put up a measely 10/5 in their given minutes. Nice try Laker fans but you’ll have to find a diamond in the rough (IE: Norris Cole).

surveParticipantMarshall would be a great fit for the Lakers, but he really has to improve his shot majorly. Kabongo wouldnt be bad either because of his defensive ability. Both are good half court players but both has striking weaknesses on the next level. My biggest concern with Kendall is his ability to stay in front of other PG’s. Can see him getting used badly. Myck…..he is small as hell….so I dont see him being very effective in the lane.

apb540ParticipantI pray that Tony Wrotten comes out and falls to my pick.

iguapops420ParticipantDallas pick is top 20 protected, but there have been rumors that LAL gave a 2nd rounder so that they could get the pick unprotected or lottery protected or something of that sort. Either way, LAL either want a speedy athletic point like Myck, or a future 4. LAL is very high on Morris from what I understand, as well as Goudelock. The picks were really mostly obtained to go with Bynum or Gasol in a trade for another superstar.
