JeffreyhardenParticipantThe NBA’s greatest 2 franchises are terrible at the same time and the "best" draft since 03 is coming to the league next year how odd. Let’s say that the Lakers get the 1st pick n the Celtics get the 2nd pick. Lakers take Jabari Parker n the Celtics select Andrew Wiggins, the new Bird-Magic rivilary is what that would be. They have been 1-2 over the last few years (Julius Randle was in the discussion but fell just a little short of being on their level still a great player though). Kobe would have an instant star next to him and Rondo would have a star alongside him. Kobe could mentor Jabari over the next 2 years to take control of the Lakers and the pressure that will come with that and the hard work that will come with that and by the time Kobe retires the Lakers would have a 22year old superstar at their disposal. The Celtics would have a great chance to resign Rondo if Wiggins pans out because they are really only 2 pieces (Center n scoring shooting guard) away from contending in the East.
Lakers can sign Kyle Lowry, Carlos Boozer, Marcin Gortat
Resign Gasol, Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Kendall Marshall, Jodie Meeks, Xavier Henry, Kent Bazemore
Along with Kobe and Jabari Parker they would still have flexibility to go after Kevin Love next summer and keep the Lakers a contender in the future

JeffreyhardenParticipantBoozer will get cut by the Bulls and to be a stop gate for a year he can sign with the Lakers duh, mike Antoni (he doesn’t deserve the D in front of his last name lol) will be gone the Lakers need a complete coach to take over but with that Buss guy running things who would come to coach let alone what players will come because this years free agent class is not looking at LA as a destination.
When is the lottery anyway because it’s a lot of teams that’s tanking that will have a major stake in that (Pelicans, 76ers, Bucks Detroit, Charlotte etc..)
