It looks to be another lost season!!

Its not all bad news giving the fact we are the 2nd worst team in the league.

My question is who should the Lakers take with a top 3 pick given it’s a PG draft and we keep our pick?

Should we draft Josh Jackson, move Russell to SG and take a PG, or move Russell by trade deadline.

Lakers aren’t going to pass on any top prospect if they get a chance to draft them to possibly take a guy lower down the draft. Walton would draft BPA in a heartbeat and then suss out how to fit them in around Russell and co. He’d have no problem with running a two PG backcourt and assigning one guy as ball handler.

They take the best point guard available and build around him. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lakers take Ball #1 because of the LA connection.

Lakers should draft the best player available regardless of fit. And I definitely don’t think there is a sudden urge to trade Russell either if they draft a guard. A Russell/fultz or Russell/ball backcourt could work just fine imo.

The Lakers lack anyone who will become a star player, so they cannot afford to be picky. The new CBA rules make it much harder to sign a star player (since fewer will hit the market), so they must draft BPA. In my mind 1. Fultz  2. Ball 3. Smith, so yes they should draft a PG. I will admit I have not watched the Lakers much, but I think it might be better to move Russell to SG anyway. He seems to have some trouble getting others involved at times and with his shooting and size, I think he would be a solid SG.

Markannen is the best fit but they will probally come away with a gaurd. Passing up on players with star glamour like Fultz, Ball and Smith is not the Lakers style.

This Lakers team is horrible,  but still better than the kobe team last year.

Ball. If just for potential Ball-Nance alley oops.
