Ok, I double checked and the Memphis-Clippers game IS on tonight unlike my earlier post about Dallas and OKC.  Does Memphis rebound from their stunning collapse in game 1 and tie the series?

 as long as they dont start depending on the 3 like they started doing in game 1 i think they tie it up. they gotta start running their offense through gasol more, excellent decision maker and always seems to make the right play

I just got to the arena. Game starts in 30 minutes. I think memphis fans are underrating the Clippers.
The Clips are good.

The game is going to depend on which team is for real: the Grizzlies for the first 3 quarters of Game 1 or the Clippers of the last 8 minutes.

I think the best two players on the court are CP3 and Blake Griffin. Gasol is 3rd. For us to win we have to feed Gasol. He has to dominate and carry us like Z Bo carried us last year. We have to win the rebounding battle. We don’t score easily enough or block a ton of shots so we need to rebound well.

We have to use hustle and muscle to win. Defend, get loose balls, rebound, and pound it inside. Turn Blake into a jump shooter and throw different looks at Paul, use Conley, Tony Allen, OJ, and Selby. Win the rebounding battle, get to the line, and stay close in the 3 point battle.

Should be a good game. This is a must win game for the Grizzlies.

I don’t know about you guys, but Mareese Speights has impressed me a lot. He has been playing with high intensity and his jumper is looking pretty good. Plus, on defense, he has been timely on rotations.

Mike Conley has come a looong way as a shooter off of the dribble since his days at Lawrence North HS.

I always thought he was somewhat overrated since high school, but he’s proved me wrong. Got to give him credit for working hard on his body and shooting.

 ^ well said.  I always thought Conley was a product of the Greg Oden/Conley Sr. hype (dad was a olympic track star).  Always knew how to run a team though.  Straight winner on every level (Spiece Indy Heat and Ohio State).  Knows how to finish.  All he was missing was a jumper, which is something he seems to have finally found.  Is going tp be a solid/borderline all-star type of guy for several years to come.

Yea, he’s always been an amazing little floor general who could defend on the ball.

I really like the way he’s competing against Chris Paul in this series.

Whoever would’ve thought he’d end up being the better career between him and Greg Oden? Everyone always thought Conley was overrated, but Oden was always quick to give Conley credit… Saying he’d give Conley Mr. Basketball, etc.

 Speights has been a nice pick up for Memphis, I bet Philly wished they had asked for more in return.

This series will perhaps be one of the more entertaining to watch and going forward it could have quite an impact on both teams. The further Memphis go, the more revenue they make probably allowinmg them to retain the likes of Mayo and if LAC look like really doing something then CP3 could well extend sooner rather than later.

As regards Jerry Lawler, it would be fun to see the WWE do a work between him and an NBA player perhaps?
