Lotto StudParticipantWe have Kyrie’s measurements which are 6’3” 191 but we do not know what he will test in agility drills & vert. With that being said how will they go about determining his attributes since he decided not to test.

Lotto StudParticipantBut Kyrie did not test in anything that’s why I would like to know how 2k will determine his attributes.

Chilbert arenasParticipantApparently Kyrie "Had nothing to prove"…? But in reality he has as much or more to prove than anyone else (besides maybe kanter)

mikeyvthedonParticipantThat 2k, or any other NBA video game for that matter, get little to none of their data from NBA Pre-Draft camps. Disagree? Go and check the ratings of guys who have played in the league and compare them with their pre-draft camp numbers in vertical, speed, etc. Chances are, unless they are incredibly elite athletes playing extended minutes, many of those rankings are different. Solomon Jones had a huge vert at the combine, Maurice Evans ran one of the fastest agility tests recorded. The ratings are usually based on game speed and are mainly taken from those scenarios, and I would be incredibly surprised if they mimicked combine numbers. If so, Jordan Farmar would have the highest vertical in the league outside of Nate Robinson and Jamario Moon.
Take the combine athletic tests with a grain of salt. These guys have prepped themselves for these tests for months, and some may not have prepared as well. Odds are, many of these players will never jump as high as they did during these tests, athleticism fades and changes over time. Guys get more agile, less agile, it is a continuous cycle. These tests are done one time that we are usually able to view them before these guys become NBA players. Someone’s athletic ability should not be judged on one day, good, bad or neither.
