It’s been reported that Kyrie Irving won’t be available for the start of the season and may be out until January. Here’s a link http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2015/08/kyrie-irving-likely-to-miss-start-of-season.html

If he’s out until January that’ll be a pretty big blow to the Cavs.  It’ll put more pressure on Lebron to carry the load in the regular season.  However, it should give Lebron and Love time to find some chemistry and let Love have a bigger role in the offense.

Glad Im not the only one who is excited to see more Delly. When one Aussie goes down..another has his back.

The Hawks vs Cavs game will be great. Wonder if Al Horford will throw Delly to the ground and then drop an elbow on his head again.

Ive never heard anyone criticise Horford for that but he KILLED his team that night.

This is a solid blow to the Cavaliers, but by no means is it completely devastating.  The Cavaliers still have the best player in the world right now in LeBron James.  Kevin Love is really going to have to step up and prove to everybody in Cleveland that he is worth the $110 million that the are paying him over the next five seasons.  With Mo Williams as a steady stop-gap starter and the fact that they play in the East, the Cavaliers will be completely fine until Irving fully recovers.

Good thing they signed Mo Williams in the offseason, a legit starter Cavs will be good untill Kyrie is back

Better he is out and come back 100% and miss time in the first hald of the season rather than the latter. Good back up in Mo and Delly so not too worried.

Kyrie is a phenomenal talent, but he should officially be out of the “one of the best PG’s in the league” discussion until he can go through a majority of the season and playoffs injury free.

This will probably help the Cavs in the long run. Kyrie won’t have to play 82 games and they can rest him until hes fully healthy while Love and LeBron work on their chemistry.

It’ll help Cleveland in the long run b/c they can assimilate K.Love more & Iriving will be nice & rested by the start if the Playoffs…. The Cavs don;t need to worry about home court advantage… And even though I believe that Chicago & Atlanta are every bit as strong as the Top teams in the Westm Cleveland already proved that when healthy they are the class of the East…. I luv Irving’s game – he’s the closet skill set I’ve seen to Allen Iverson – he’s unstoppable off the dribble, can shoot the 3, he’s one of the great young talents in the League…. The Cavs have a Very similar situation to the Lakers circa 2000 -2002…. Kobe was Much younger than Shaq but an obvious budding super star & Shaq was THE best player on the Planet…. I’m not saying the Cavs will do what the Lakers did – just saying that Lebron & Irving have similarities in age & talent with Shaq & Kobe….
