reynolds07ParticipantWiltjer is currently not on the mock draft, it hasn’t been the season many though he would have so far, but i think he could be selected late in the 2nd round as contenders could use a big guy that can score. What are your thoughts? do you think he could go undrafted?

evangelion79ParticipantI think he should get drafted. Draft Express has him going 60th so his stock isnt very high at all. I think a big reason is his below average passing skills and his poor defense which will be even more of a deficiency once he reaches the NBA. I agree with you that he should go in the late second for the same reason you posted. Because despite his weaknesses, anyone could use a long range sniper thats 6’10.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI think he does every thing Ryan Kelly did but better- with the way the NBA is coveting big guys who can space the floor surely someone will take a chance at him in the late second round. Though, teams are also covetting guys who can play multiple positions on D and he can barely play one at the moment so that is also a limiting factor of his next level production.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantHes just not an NBA level athlete and he would really struggle defensively. I hate saying that because I know he worked really hard on improving his body since his early college days. However, he just isnt a guy that was blessed with very good athletic tools. Hes even slower than Kelly and doesn’t jump as high. He isn’t quick enough laterally to guard 3s and he’s not strong enough to guard 4s or 5s. He could create some mismatches offensively with his shooting ability but that would be neutralized by his lack of mobility and inability to beat bigger players off the dribble consistently.
I think he is a very late 2nd round pick at best but more than likely goes undrafted. I think he could have a nice career overseas but I don’t see him having much success in the NBA.

connybucketsParticipantHe could have the same kind of impact Kyle Anderson has on the Spurs but more so on the offensive end than defense

rongataParticipantI don’t see him making a contribution at the NBA level. He is a good college player and playing in a system somewhat designed around him and his talents but in the NBA I don’t see it.

canadabasketballisrisingParticipanti see him as a fringe nba player at best, with a great chance at being an allstrar overseas… unless he improves ont he defensive side, he will alweays be on the fence for the last spot IMO.
